That's the big mystery. You won't know as they won't send any SMS to tell you that!

5% Cash Rebate for petrol
- Capped at RM500 for UOB ONE Platinum card and RM300 for UOB ONE Classic card per month
- Maximum monthly Cash Rebate payout for the rebate category of petrol is RM900,000 which is to be given out on a first come first serve basis, based on UOBM’s transaction records

looking for a petrol card for discount. Average monthly spending on petrol is Rm 250. Does that mean that for the 5% rebate, Rm 900,000 is allocated throughout the year and only eligible first come first serve basis?

How can we know that? =.='
*
RM900,000 is allocated for a month. Based on msg in this forum, most of the people get rebate if pump petrol up to 12 th day of the month,

U can stop using this uob cc after 12 of the month if u want to be safe to get 5% rebate

the cashback pool usually utilized by 13th of the month, so far. go figure.

UOB has stated they do not have the obligation to inform cardmembers. obviously they want you to keep spending without the obligation at all.

144 days to swipe 60 times to waive annual charges.

that's 1 swipe per every 2.4 days.
Not a good deal.

Why 144 days? Not 1 year which is 365 days?
But, I though uob no more offer this condition to waive annual charge for 60 swipes in a year?

thats for me. Wanting to get a card for petrol rebate only.
Of which only 144 days are eligible for the rebate.

So to avoid the annual charges, I have to swipe so frequently to hit 60 swipes.
Unless it's revoked?
No longer require 60 swipe for annual charges to be waived?

Not a frequent credit card user. More often, I find the best card to save money. haha!

Previously UOB have written that annual fee waive with 60 swipe in a year.

But, UOB had removed this written statement and UOB can charge customer for the annual fee even customer make 60 swipe.

if that's the case, your smart$ will be 0... because smart$ is given only if you swipe your uob cc using uob terminal.
for example, you pump at bhp but the cashier swipe your uob cc using affin bank terminal, you won't get any smart$ for that swipe (although it's advertised that bhp offers smart$ for your pump).

The story is like this.

Previously I have certain amount accumulated but I requested to cancel the card. I'm just wondering if those earned Smart$ is gone too. Guess I need to till next statement on January 14th to know exact details.

oh i see... then you can:
1) wait til next statement
2) call the cs to ask
3) swipe at any merchant that offers smart$ and check the balance

but i think the best way is (2) so that if there is no balance, you can immediately tell the cs your situation, and perhaps the cs will help you to escalate the issue and get your smart$ returned to you soon.
