mouth ulcers dont usually last more than a week, if they clear up and then it swells up again the next morning maybe you're bitting your lip in your sleep or you have some sort of infection?

if its really been there for a month... i'd check with a doctor.

I use to get it quite frequently. Its due to body heat.
To reduce body heat, u must drink lots and lots of water. Medicine can help, but you still have to suffer. You might will be suffering with it for a week maybe.

genius.

someone actually thinks the concept of heatiness actually refers to actual body temperature being high.

absolute genius.

the malaysian educational system is churning out more and more idiots every year, what a success.

Miss, since when malaysian education started learning body heat, do you learn it in your biology subject during your SPM time? doh.gif
I aint a doctor, i just gave him a piece of advise based on my experince mind you. Its is always easy to give a sarcastic remarks here. But no one appreciate it at all and it will nvr make you a gr8 person. I am very disappointed. I can also say give sarcastic remarks on the human skills you developed, but i aint going to do that.
Next time, if you really really think someone had made mistake, tell them in a constructive manner. Dont criticize in hurting manner.
Btw, if i got myself into a wrong opinion, i am very sorry.
Finally, if you ever want to reply this, reply with the "real concept of heatiness" and "body temperature", EXPLAIN it!
Others, it will be also worth to take a look on this article.

1 month ulser still refuse to go away? This sounds serious. Did you apply bonjela continuously or you stop when your ulser temporary goes away? Maybe you should go easy on your ulser there. Ask doctor for some advice if there's any infection.

now eBola, who gives you the right to call him 'stupid'? You created him izit? Just because he stated some points which you disagree with doesn't give you any right at all for you to call them stupid. Anyone disagree with you, correct him/her by stating the facts you believe in. Rather than condemning the education system etc. That's lame you know that? If you're lazy to make people smart then stop calling people stupid okay?

why should i bother? not like your entire post contained anything of real use. besides, its up to you to correct your mistakes. all im doing is pointing out that you're stupid. its not my job to make you smart.

if you still dont like it, this is the kopitiam.

either take the heat, learn to argue your points properly instead of bullshitting with some other lame excuse like sarcasm or criticism, or much easier - stfu and go to some other forum where they might learn to love your generalising ass. smile.gif

It is best to consult a doctor than pursuing your own remedy, particularly when the problem reoccurs or is consistent.

In medicine, as in every other things else, there are some traditional beliefs that are unique to each respective cultures.

For the chinese, in their traditional belief of one's wellbeing, there is a condition called "heatiness" (where ryansys refered as body heat). This occurs when one consumes too much fried foods and heaty stuffs. One common result of heatiness is blisters/ulcers in the mouth/lips. Taking lots of water wud help. I would usually gulp down two glasses of chinese herbs, that works very well for me whenever i feel "heaty".

In everyday communications, different reference terms and semantic errors often occur. Most important is to clarify and read the intention of the communique; was it trying to help or was it an attempt at humour or was it just a cruel intention to hurt. Particularly in forums.

Alright cut it out eBola and ryansxs.

eBola, while you may not necessarily agree with the points ryansxs made, I dont think there's a need to be overly sarcastic is there? A little tact would be nice, because I dont think anyone likes to be called an idiot. I dont think ryansxs meant any harm with what he said, and I believe he was posting out of goodwill.

ryansxs, dont bite back. Dont take things too personally here in the forums. There will always be trolls around to test your patience every now and then.

once in a while, i'll have ulcer. then i'll look back what have i eaten. oily, spicy food, n u dun drink enough water will make u've ulcer easily. so gotta eat more fruits, drink lots of water. dun drink much coffee or milo.

N i also apply the Sei Kua Seong(watermelon) medicine on the ulcer. It works if u apply it few times a day to the effected area, n drink lots of water. The medicine can be bought at kedai ubat cina.

TS, the dr recommend u to cut it out? wahh, so serious ahhh. maybe u can consult 2 doctor n then make up ur mind. coz it involve surgery, is it? so, better ask 1 more professional opinion. coz my cousin brother encountered a situation before where 2 doctor have different opinion, one said surgery, one said no need. But his is not ulcer lah.

but anyhow, u know how bad ur situation is, so maybe just follow ur Dr's advice loh. if okie already, drink lots of water next time.

ebola, you've made your point, ryansxs was wrong in his/her original statement, leave it at that.

ryansxs, its the internet, people are occasionally going to toss crap your way, its not ideal but thats how the internet is.

everyone else, dont add to the flame, you're not helping when you do that.

now stop arguing.

when the doc cuts it out be sure to ask what it is, what causes it and how to prevent getting it again.
