Just got my Almera about a month ago. V Spec. Weeee ~
Price wise, not bad. Got alof of discount. Banyak barang free lagi.
Impul body kit + Visor + Side Mirror w/ signal + Solar Gard tint + not forgetting the Free Umbrella !!.

So far, everything seems good except the air con start up.
During start of the day, (after 1-2 mins of warm up), if I turn on the air cond, its like a loud belt kick in sound. Is this normal? It only happens during 1st start or after long time engine cool down.

Another thing is the Solar Gard.. there is this weird Solar Gard imprint on the driver side window. 3 of it sumore. It looks like its the end of the Solar Tint roll and they want to make full use of it and they just tampal on my window. other 3 windows dont have this. Weeeird.. I ask the SA, he said its common.

Last but not least, any advise for a new Almera user like me? Like maintenance tips n tricks ?
Things to do and not to do on the Almera. Sifu sifu and Otai otai Almera, please advise yeah ! ^^,

Oh yeah!! another thing, my parents told me that I shouldnt drive above 80-90kmh for 1st 1000km ?
Is this still applicable to new cars? I know back in the days, they had to do this.
Can you imagine me driving at only 80km/h for 100km. I work at Seremban and I'm from Klang.

Normal...

Advices : Warm up your car within 1-2 minutes before turn on aircond
*
Oh ! so its normal la huh? Thank you thank you. It got me quite worried.
I just want to know whats normal and whats not. Going for my first service this weekend.
Want them to fix any issues. Never had a new car before, he he he.

U know la, I use 2nd hand car all this while, macam macam bunyi ada. So, if Almera ada sikit bunyi also I wont know if its problem or not...too used to old cars.

Wagging tail pipe is normal tough. My mechanic friend told me that every car's tail pipe is designed that way to make sure that the support does not break over time.
*
Yeah ! i noticed that yesterday. When my friend was tailing my car from the back, he noticed that my exhaust was vibrating alot. So this is normal? Any other almerian's tail pipe vibrate alot?

Google translate can do a job..
*
I tried translating. I dont think it helped much. LOL biggrin.gif
But they sure do look very happening.

Btw, i have another question, any tips and tricks at the SC? I remember reading somewhere that someone kena charge kao kao during 40km service. Is there like some thing i should notify the SC not to pandai pandai change things and just stick with the normal required service?

sc: " its free"
me: "u mean service charge free? oil no need to pay?"
sc: "sir, ur salesman never tell u all maintenance n service is free for 3 years or 60k whichever comes first?"
me (thinking to myself): " bestnyeeeeeeeeer"

Btw, anyone know if I can buy some accessories for the door handle area.
I notice those kinda door handle design get alot of scratches.
Is there like some sticker or like a "screen protector" to prevent those scratches.
Some lady's finger nail panjang and sharp like wolverine claw. rclxub.gif

Another thing. Is there like a protection film or anything for the almera door step ?

Sorry ya, very new to this automotive world ... notworthy.gif

yes and yes.

Under garage sales > automotive , you can find the film to prevent scratches to the door handle.

Kick plates, yes. can sort for after market parts, cheaper.

Got this for my door step. This is not ori btw and not fitting well..not recomemded. Avoid this model at all cost...
*
Hey douglas and nismo87, thanks for the advise.
Manage to get some protective films for the door handle and the door step.

I hope this will minimize the damages.
My poor baby 'rara' (almera). cry.gif

after the free wash i felt my car interior bau ketiak la.
must be the bangala sweat on my fabric blink.gif
*
I thought the SC will cover the seats, steering wheel and the mat ?
But those are only on the driver side la.
I guess the bau ketiak is from your passenger seats. Go buy Rexona and spray la.

for carwash they dont cover, cause after servicing they will remove the cover i think.
this happen to all car wash la
thats y i prefer to wash my self
flex.gif
*
Yeah, you are totally right on that. I would prefer washing it by myself.
You will never know if they do wash their towel properly or use a new one after dropping it on the ground.
Or maybe after washing the Nissan Navara that already go through all the muddy area with tiny stones stuck on their towel, they than wash your car with the same towel.

Best la like... macam gores dan menang ! haha.

Yesterday went to sg rasah sc didn't see the banner outside saying relocated to kapar.

Inside promoting Micheline Xm2 got la. Haha

The relocation is only for the showroom portion. I spoke to one of the salesman there, they said the showroom building had some problem. The SC will remain there.

Hi guyz, i just received Almera on last sat.

Can you guyz recommend any steering lock?  smile.gif
*
as per Nismo87 recomendation, get a locktech and pair with a cheapo steering lock.
That steering lock is just for "decoration" or as an indication to tell the car thief dont mess with this car.
Go look for other Almera that has no locks.

Thanks for recommendation,notworthy.gif

after google abit, i noticed that the locktech have to install inside the car, will it void the warranty once install it?
*
Dont worry about the warranty void thingy. Just make sure when you buy the lock it is a plug and play.
I had spoken with the Nissan salesman about this, his advise is, as long no wires are being cut, the warranty should not be voided.

Im not that lonelytraveller in /k  sweat.gif  but im a freelance photographer  brows.gif

chatting aside, anyone of you have installed the locktech inside the car? can post the pic here? and any reliable steering lock recommend? notworthy.gif
*
I had mine installed. I'll try to get a pic later for u.
Steering lock...just use the classic baseball bat steering lock if you are going to get locktech.

Btw, if u do not know, the locktech will also disable ur car ignition if the locktech is locked.
Upon unlocking, only then the car can start. So, its not just a normal break lock thingy.
