I totally understand how it feels. Once I changed the plugs and coils, my car feels buttery smooth, just like new car tongue.gif
Only thing is they are freaking expensive!

Yeah expensive it is! Haha

Lately when driving in the very hot afternoon, the aircond will intermittently just stop blowing cold air. Need to turn off the compressor and turn it back on after 10 seconds, after that cold air again. This happened many times this afternoon.
Anyone encountered same problem?
It feels like the compressor just decides to shut down as too hot outside

If it stop blowing. It's your blower motor it usually takes 2 weeks before it permanently die.
If it's not cold... It could be few things.
1. Your compressor magnetic clutch dying. ( this is highest probability)
2. There's a leak somewhere.
3. Your cooling coil have a hole somewhere ( usually smell like some burnt electronics)

The fan is blowing.
It only happens during very hot afternoon. Other times it's just fine.

All these is not wear and tear part, they are not under warranty?
Repair and part change required at least 500 and drying at least 1k

Hi folks, my old man's car meter seems dead, no backlights and needle not working. However those warning light like abs, handbrake, check engine is working. I checked the fuses and none is burnt. Any ideas? Or can recommend shop to check/fix?

Yeah, both fuses on the passenger side and engine bay was checked. Even went to an accessory shop and they found fuse is all ok.

Yesterday went to a tyre shop to use their diagnostic device, based on the code there is something wrong with the wiring and is unlikely the Speedo that is the issue. They guys say it is very very rare for Speedo to die, and if it spoiled, the whole Speedo would die, not even the engine warning lights will turn on.

Now the next step is to look for workshop that is knowledgeable and skilled in solving wiring and electricals. The tyre shop guy don't know how to open up the whole dashboard in order to access the wiring to check for me, and neither it is his specialty.

So got any recommendation?

Hello , any sifu here can confirm if nissan almera N17 can have the beep beep sound turned silent when using the remote to unlock and lock the car? I saw on a few YouTube vid press the lock and unlock button at the same time for few seconds and it will turn silent. When I try this way, it does not work.

Oh gosh. sad to know that you encounter this when its too late. It is a known issue for this model. i was lucky that i had a bot at the boot, i saw water stains on the cardboard box and smell musty air. i found it early. Unfortunately, it is not under common ware and tear parts.

So did you get it fixed? most likely the meter need to be replaced. there are a handful of cases that the meter goes off. only solution, replace whole meter. You may be able to find a half cut at NCS garage

i can confirm, the you tube vid do not work. i have only seen one solution, unplugging the alarm with the speaker/horn. which is a bad idea.

Yeah, got fixed but at cutthroat price lor.

There's this ipdm module inside that was said to have spoiled and caused the Speedo to burn out too. So both the module and Speedo (2nd hand) was replaced. Wasn't quite knowledgeable so no choice but to stretch out neck to be slaughtered.

hi would like to ask suggestions from all almera sifus here
there are few issues with my car
1. some noise when i drive my almera since 1 year ago and done checking in nissan x2times, both time said is engine mounting loosen, and suggest me to replace it, however the price is kinda rip-off my wallet, quote me RM1400 including installation labour, which is quite expensive compared to shopee lazada price of RM400+, just curious is is reliable if im getting denco engine mounting from online and install it at 3rd party mechanic workshop?

2. when switching on right sided signal the light and sound ticktock ticktock very fast around 3times normal speed, front and back signal lamp not working, but the side mirror one still working.
is the problem with wiring or burnt light bulb might be the culprit in this case?

thank you very much sifus

Dont like that la... Did SC say they use denco? Probably no right, original Nissan is about rm800. Anyway it's always cheaper to do outside workshop, up to you Denco is decent, one of the better OEM.

Yes, it flash super fast to indicate there's an open circuit, meaning 1 of your indicator bulbs arent working. very normal. Go change your bulb lo. But make sure u check if the bulb burn or not. If the bulb is fine, means one of the socket pins arent in contact. Just a simple bending of the pin or change a new socket (need wiring)
