My wife almera also bought in 2014 and so far so good.
ODO on 74k, average 8.3l/100km or 12km/l. Assuming Vios/City gets 13km/l and every full tank is at 35l, you get additional 35km per week. 35km x 52 weeks a year = 1,820km 1,820km x (Fuel price RM2.20/13km=RM0.169) = RM307.58 saving per year. From the above calculation, you save less than RM1k a year of fuel and still haven't taken in the upfront cost for the new car and your loan settlement for almera. My humble opinion is that it doesn't worth it at all unless you are upgrading to another segment car. This post has been edited by rapple: May 8 2018, 12:53 PM |

Do you guys remember for 2014 Almera, how long is the warranty period? 3 years?
Most probably, going to send to my client to service the car instead of going back to SC. |

Almera no more japanese car.... Very far difference. The list very basic only. In actual, need to service aircond & etc....... If you want less problems, don't buy Almera. |

QUOTE(olygopoly @ Aug 19 2019, 10:14 AM) I see. So if just normal engine oil change can go to other workshop lah.. Ok.. The thing about sending to Nissan SC usually will take more than half a day for normal service. Send morning & usually I just wait there.. Will get the car back during lunch time / after lucnh ike that. I assume outside workshop wont take that long In Ipoh, there's one in KK road and one in Falim, Menglembu. For the first 4 years i send to KK road, every time also takes half day then after i send to falim branch it takes less than 1 hour.. Not sure it's because Falim branch has less car to service or they didn't check properly. |

QUOTE(Jessieccy @ Aug 19 2019, 10:21 AM) Oh you are from Ipoh. Erm normal la. Everyone scared branch skill no good, new car is normal to be kiasu. Yes, I have been there 2 times it is a bit slow due to high volume. Yup from Ipoh and still in Ipoh.. haha.. KL lifestyle just isn't my cup of tea but i do love all the entertainments and convenience offer in KL .. Last December I send to a workshop outside and they charged me 250 for oil change & oil filter. WTF. some more is my client.. feels like more expensive than Nissan.. Since it's almost similar price better i send back to Nissan to service. |

QUOTE(Jessieccy @ Aug 19 2019, 02:54 PM) That guy chop you is it? Or you opt for some expensive fully syn oil?. Buy your own is cheaper. I recommend you to use ZIC. I used ZIC 0-20 before. If not u can use any 10-30 is actually better. Not sure, probably better syn oil? No idea. As his bill has no mention what kind of oil they used and I'm reluctant to check further since he's my client. Don't want to be too calculative. So far no to Shell, no to Nissan 0-20, Next round I'm going to try KIXX G1 10-30 QUOTE(littlebeettle @ Aug 20 2019, 12:58 PM) great that i found this thread. It has always been 4AT, no?ok, anyone here owned the black series? I am recently walked into the showroom and discovered this almera....it is a looker man! (at least to me) did some read up here and there and noticed some know issues such as wheel bearing give way after roll 30,000 KM, engine / aircond fan give way, spongy feel, no attention on safety feature. is this black series coupled with improvement under the hood? i also know it is now equip with 4 speed AT gb...leaving behind the CVT which claimed not exciting for some (drivers) looking forward to hear from you all and nice to meet you all |
