I played CS with an everglide and a razor boomslang 2000dpi before (my personal gaming haven back then)... I can tell you, I was trying to set my sensitivity below 1.0 but the game won't let me do so..

It was too fast for me.

I'm not too sure about the Exactmat, but nothing beats the Boomslang smile.gif

edit : went a bit off topic there, but everglides are good pads, just that they wear out over time... and the smoothness goes away.

wtf la comparing a cloth pad and a hard pad.
both obviously and completely different.

you have to personally try both and find out for yourself which one you prefer.
i have two exactmats, one backup, but both kept in closet now.
been using everglide cos i find it better and more stable.

FYI, Razer Mantis was made FROM FIBERTEK technology by EVERGLIDE that produce Everglide Titan. I have open up Mantis package and I've used Titan Fnatic at home. It have the same material, just the design. But........

Everglide Produce Fibertek for EVERGLIDE TITAN
and
Everglide Produce Fibertek for RAZER MANTIS...

so, decide yourself.

Happy gaming.

Yup, some of your point was right too, Fibertek Technology was from Everglide.
However, if you check their surface, you may noticed that there's still a big different.
Post some photos of Everglide Titan & Mantis for your reference.

My current mousepad:
a plastic but non-shinny clear folder cover (with fine grain texture) on top of a piece of A4 paper full of colored noise texture (using some photoshop filter effects).

cost:
<RM2

Very satisfied with it so far, very good control and accurate. Better than any mousepad (that below RM30) i've ever used tongue.gif

here's wat i think. both pads work fine, if u get razer mantis , the whole thing it's soft which it's comfortable where as the hard pad is HARD. haha.. but i like hard pads, so i got a razer exactmat wiv an arm rest which is very comfortable.. no regret. I think it depends on your liking.

I got a logitech G5 mice (firmware upgraded) and a FUNC 1030 archetype mousepad. After I upgraded the G5 mice firmware, both sides of the pad works nicely. Its juz tat, from wat I herd, hard pads will scratch the base of the mice. I want to prevent the base my mice from being scratched any further. Izzit true tat hard pads will scratch the mice more than cloth mousepads ?

Definitely true
There's no way to prevent it, but you could buy 3rd party mousefeet for your G5
So those feet will wear off first, then you can add new ones when they're gone

yeap... it's true.. u see, the exactmat got 2 surface, 1 is control(The rough side) & the speed(the smooth side).. For certain mouse won't get scratch.. When i use the control side, my mouse got a bit scratch but it's not very terrible tat wan la, just a little.. so now i use the speed side to prevent more scratches. cry.gif cry.gif

i still have my hyperglide skates for razer, still unopened.
no need for it anymore since using cloth pad.
tho i might just put one set on to raise the mouse alittle bit over the cloth.

wat a ripoff.
wonder if anyone actually bought it.

and no, its not wrong to use a ball mouse on any of the pads.
but dont complain later if your mouse somehow doesnt grip on the smoother surface of a hard pad.

cool. in terms of "smoothness", comparing the razer mantis speed and everglide gaming mat...which one better? btw the DKT and Fnatic one got any other enhancements? or just a chop of the logo? hehe...

Razer Mantis and Everglide Titans both the same mat, unless you are saying razer mantis control version then it's different surface.

DKT and Fnatic version just the printing different.

I got 1 rantopad since 2003, rantopad now OEM for some Company too.

nope mantis speed is so much smoother than the everglide...too smooth for me at least...

let me put it this way...rought to smooth surface..

1.Razer Mantis Control
2.Everglide Titan GamingMat (small 1)
3.Everglide Titan MonsterMat, (3 model, plain, Fnatic, DKT)
4.Razer Mantis Speed

my choice is the monstermat cuuzz its balance in everyway..

Hope its help..

light is in a sense that it moves much more freely... as for the diamondback3g.. it seems like sticks to the steel pad... deathadder? haha... i'm lovin it.. though it fails me on the first day after i bought it in PC fair... replaced by ban leong in one day.. w/o any questions..

the driver provided conflicts with the mouse and cause my pc BSOD... soon after that.. the mouse wont work at all on any pc.. this is a manufacturer's flaw.. nonetheless, razer is still a superb mouse... smile.gif

anyway.. pls go over razer thread to discuss this.. pls help the TS to keep the thread clean... cheers biggrin.gif
