My current mousepad:
a plastic but non-shinny clear folder cover (with fine grain texture) on top of a piece of A4 paper full of colored noise texture (using some photoshop filter effects).

cost:
<RM2

Very satisfied with it so far, very good control and accurate. Better than any mousepad (that below RM30) i've ever used tongue.gif

Which mousepad is better ? Hard base mousepad like the razer eXactmat or the cloth mousepad like the razer mantis ?

here's wat i think. both pads work fine, if u get razer mantis , the whole thing it's soft which it's comfortable where as the hard pad is HARD. haha.. but i like hard pads, so i got a razer exactmat wiv an arm rest which is very comfortable.. no regret. I think it depends on your liking.

I got a logitech G5 mice (firmware upgraded) and a FUNC 1030 archetype mousepad. After I upgraded the G5 mice firmware, both sides of the pad works nicely. Its juz tat, from wat I herd, hard pads will scratch the base of the mice. I want to prevent the base my mice from being scratched any further. Izzit true tat hard pads will scratch the mice more than cloth mousepads ?

Definitely true
There's no way to prevent it, but you could buy 3rd party mousefeet for your G5
So those feet will wear off first, then you can add new ones when they're gone

yeap... it's true.. u see, the exactmat got 2 surface, 1 is control(The rough side) & the speed(the smooth side).. For certain mouse won't get scratch.. When i use the control side, my mouse got a bit scratch but it's not very terrible tat wan la, just a little.. so now i use the speed side to prevent more scratches. cry.gif cry.gif

if you're gonna get a ball mouse, get a clothpad.
then the ball can grip better.
