U need to moist the branch and plant everyday, dont let it dry.

Are JBL pellets not as good as nutrafin? i went to natural aquatic yesterday and looked at the ingredients for nutrafin, nothing different. blink.gif

Proton Wira and Mitsubishi Lancer is the same car. Notice the quality difference which separate them apart ?

QUOTE(meiteoh @ Sep 25 2006, 10:55 AM)
Sayasebudak: You have to feed other stuff apart from just pellets to make sure RES grows up with a good strong shell - especially if you don't sun him.

Btw, those with RES, have you noticed some white, nearly transclucent stuff hanging off your RES's face/legs? I suspect Tortue is shedding but I don't know for sure.
*
Pellets and fish should do it to make the shell strong in short terms.

That white translucent thing is because of the water i supposed. Mind to post a pic here ?

I have a quick question - I just tested Tortue's shell to see if it's soft.

It's a little bit like how when you soak your nails in the water and you can push them down more than you can when they are dry...does that mean he has shell softening (the front part of the shell near the head is hard, I was testing around the edge near his tail)?

nolar, people in the planted aquarium community always do this to jimat kos. cost of a planted aquarium is way way higher than for a turtle/tortoise. have to be careful though how you place the wiring at your aquarium sweat.gif

the turtles are not smelly, just that the water will become smelly if you dont change it often enough. the stuff that i buy for them are considered "basic". no cosmetic/decoration pun smile.gif

it's glass. sent to glass shop. had to pay extra RM40. (actually not hard to do yourself. but quite hard to find a suitable sized glass). have to check their work though, because mine was leaking water at the basking area. had to use silicone sealant to cover the leak thumbup.gif

That one should be hygrometer, which is used to monitor the humidity.

Well, i think Tortue still lacks those calcium stuff. Maybe u really need to sun them lah once in a while.

Rather than pellets, u need to sun him. That's the best method for them.
