no worries, if i really take them home, i will love them till the end of the day, no matter how big or urgly they grow. but just fall in love at the 1st sign when i saw them. the rest of the day will more in bonding than beauty i think. am not that kind of see cute take home, then throw them aside when they grow. thats y it always make me take a long time to re-think if i want to take them home.. even one hamster, one betta fish.... smile.gif

i also fall in love with sulcata at first sight. did some research, lagi fall in love smile.gif

btw, sulcata will most probably live longer than any of us in this forum and anyone birth today... if taken care properly, a sulcata can live for more than 100+ years old... so in future, have to train grandchildren to take care

Both of them need to eat more protein based food like pellets. I suggest u feed them good pellets like Nutrafin Basix or Ocean Free's Turtle Pellets. Also dont forget to sun them whenever u can ok ? They will recover but it will take some time. I did that to mine last time on my Malayan Box and they are ok now.
Where's this shop located ? I only go to the subang branch before.  unsure.gif

Are JBL pellets not as good as nutrafin? i went to natural aquatic yesterday and looked at the ingredients for nutrafin, nothing different. blink.gif

guys... off topic for awhile ah... hehe... my dad saw me alwiz online here looking at turtles and communicating... he asked me to ask a question to an answer on aquariums but not turtles lar... yet still got related abit...

he wanna know why his tank of fishes ar... very easy de water turns green and murky ar?? he place his aquarium at the balcony... no direct sunlight but can feel de sun heat lar... any idea? no aquarium lighting wan... just a norm aquarium wif lots of small fishes inside...

any idea ka?? and will tat happen to turtle's tank too or not?? de water really turns to green2 color... like very 'pekat' liddat... why ha??

wink.gif

that is called algae bloom. i think the only reason is if it has access to sunlight, eventhough under shade and no direct sunlight, still have the same effect.

my wife also no patient when i see my things (not only tortoise), but when she see her things, i have to follow and be patient. i've actually concluded that most girls are like that. even my previous ex-es all also like that

thanks for the direction, i roughly know where u say. will drop by some time
my wife doesn't want to go in much, cause she hates snakes and tarantula. so when she's around, normally i cannot see much. i would prefer to window shop myself, more time and no rush
pet wonderland used to be good, when there wasn't much big competitors like pet family and safari. i also feel disappointment when i visit wonderland last weekend, really nothing much
*

hahaha sound familiar. whenever i want to go to petshop, i never let my wife to tag alone. more stressless and free rclxm9.gif

Sayasebudak: You have to feed other stuff apart from just pellets to make sure RES grows up with a good strong shell - especially if you don't sun him.

I haven't exactly been sunning Tortue since it's hazy and busy times at work but I make up for it by giving him D3 supplement (dropped into the water) (by Exo Terra) at least once every two weeks and a lot of calcium-rich foods like Sera Raffy-1, shrimp and Sera Raffy Baby. I give him a mix of Tetra Repto-min (has added vits and 3.3% calcium) and Sera Raffy Baby-Gran.

He loves Sera Raffy-1 - I think because they are crunchy - look like shrimp shells. Just this morning I decided to examine the shell to see if it's hard and alright - in better shape than my fingernails, I'd say.

Btw, those with RES, have you noticed some white, nearly transclucent stuff hanging off your RES's face/legs? I suspect Tortue is shedding but I don't know for sure.

ps: Found a pretty good site for RES: http://reslider.free.fr/en/index.html
