are florida sliders considered RES? they look too yellowish to be RES

That is huge leh. My turtle hasn't even showed any signs of growth oso. >.< (He's fine and no progress/issues so no updates.)

but last weekend i got wat by her, she wat me to buy her 2 jigsaw puzzle with frame which cost nearly my sulcata. she said this is a warning. if i want more tortoise, i need to buy her gift valued roughly the same price as the tortoise

Nope, what i mean was his RES looks like a Florida Slider. They are both different sub species.

This is because the RES is given too much pellets. If u feed them with vege it wont grow that fast. Mind u if they grow that fast, they will die faster than a RES that grows normally.

Women, they are like that. Jealousy, i always say to my gf if she treated me well i wont buy any new one. But she makes me angry and i buy each everytime she makes me mad. She cant say anything because we make a deal.

I think my two RES are growing fast. Last time i always scared they 'tersangkut' in the smalls openings of my driftwood. Now i notice they cannot even fit.

waa, very dangerous, she memorizes the price. that's why nowadays when my wife ask the price that i spent, i always try to avoid or answer dishonestly

Currently, i've been only feeding my RES with turtle pellets and freeze dried bloodworms. Once in a while i drop in some snails that i find from my planted aquarium. i tried giving them vegies but they just leave them alone . If what you say is true, then i would have to figure out something fast

Tortue won't swallow them at all. Just bite and spit out. I read someone that RES go through two growth spruts a year - if they have heaps of food, they'll grow faster.

Was browsing some turtle websites, and noticed some recommending you to play with your turtles.Question is HOW DOES ONE PLAY WITH TURTLES??

Other than that, sometimes i hand feed them. Feels nice when they eat from my hands

U need to starve them 1-2 days and put vege inside. They will learn to eat it somehow, u need patient for this kind of stuff.

You cannot bring Star Tortoise into Singapore. Once caught, you can go to jail friend.... all exotics are BANNED to be own there. Only RES can be kept as pets but Stars are no no at all....

It is illegal to keep Star tortoise in Singapore.... so the owners of Stars there keep very quiet... but if we were to go in with 1 tortoise, die loh hahahh...

well, jail could turn out not so bad hehehehehe

All types of Tortoises and turtles are banned... except RES... well, this is what I get from my friends living in Singapore. Those tortoises and reptiles that some people have are all those illegal ones.... even frog also no one dare say they rare it in the open.

Also, it is illegal to sell animals online also.... that is Singapore rule liao.

Singaporeans try and make do with Chincillas and hamsters heheheh, cheap also.... but they got better freedom with dogs.. unlike here, not so open minded bout dogs lah.

The rule was impose so that people will not be careless and also sellers won't go and catch wild animals.

you see, most of our exotic pets here, especially reptiles are caught from the wild... if keep catching the wild animals, sure pupus later loh. Most of the turtles and tortoises are wild caught... pity lah but that is Malaysia's pet trade. Singapore saw this happened in their country and they wanna preserve the wild animals so they make a law that no wild animal or exotic pet should be caught or kept as a pet. It keeps suppliers from asking the orang asli to catch wild animals also...

Also, many people tend to abandon their exotic pets. If I'm not mistaken, there is a turtle and tortoise santuary there.... it houses the confisticated tortoises and turtles I think... or is it a library? LOL, my brain not working so my memory fuzzy... but many exotics get abandon at the zoo and animal shelter....

In Malaysia also the same mah, Zoo Negara always get Iguanas, snakes, parrots, rabbits, mice and gerbils and loads of RES dumped at their doorstep. But many do not know that most of the rabbits and mice and gerbils or whatever rodents are fed to the snakes.... as food.... no choice, Zoo Negara no space to upkeep more animals and of course rodents are food to snakes.

One day, this law will come into Malaysia... I sense it loh.... We just dunno when.

Dude, maybe u need to left ur tortoise for a while. Later came back to malaysia can pet tortoise again.

I plan when i died, i wanna give all my collection to Zoo Negara. But then my gf said its better if i open a independent Turtle Farm so i wanna have that Turtle Farm in about 20 Years from now. Anybody can help those turtles later.

Start loh turtle farm... but can you imagine how many people will dump their RES and unwanted tortoises?

Well, what's on my mind is if they dump those tortoise or turtles they need to pay some fees. What do u think ? Somehow like SPCA.

hehe.. hey guys, here the pic of turtle and tortoise in stall~ the new comer turtle is either a keeled box turtle or a Three-keeled Musk Turtle (or giant musk turtle) , hehe.. we have one razorback as well.

dai... the top middle one is wat turtle? 3 stripe mud turtle?? wat's de price for those? and u said u got one razor? i saw u snap alot or izzit the only one there and u snap razor alot? hehe...
