I would suggest HGUC grade for newbies ^^. You can't go wrong with those. They range from RM40~RM100. They are the safest choice ^^.

This is just a rule of thumb though.

HG would be a good start

and oh, some good cutter/nipper too
don't get those of hardware store, that will be more on pinching the gate rather than snipping it

cutter is just to shiv anyone that gets near while you're building, so that nothing is lost

start with HG, just choose any design that u like n it'll be fine. Just avoid dendrobium and neo zeong.

as for tools, just get a cutter. No nid fancy ones just get from daiso 5 bucks can liao.

if online, try gamers arena since their prices is lower than most online shop and ship rm10 only.. just not many in stock..
Gundam.my n gundamhead seem to have stock for many models.. prices are higher though..
or you try garage sales for a bargain buy..

i skip HG & started with MG since i prefer bigger & detailed kit.. was kinda worried i screw up.. but with careful referring tutorials n tips here & there.. results were great.. just need patience & knowledge..

but to get good result, you hv to invest on tools..
