unicorn look more suit & elegant with the gold frame, bcos it only consist of 2 tones, while sf 4 tones.
if u want the frame look outstanding, metallic color is the choice.

how long does it usually takes for a layer of acrylic to dry?

I usually paint around 11am, put under direct sunlight until 4pm. Best to give it 24 hours to properly cure (after a few hours of outdoor session, it's safe to store indoor during the late evening/night).
