I had been eying gundam X for a while after I finish with my Tallgeese I. worth it?

I stopped building Gundam because i don't want to waste time building unpainted Gundam.

But when comes to paint really lots of job, spraying itself not the hard part it's cleaning the airgun & everything else the big hassle.

Unless you buy those cheap canned paint but don't think suitable for model kits.

My Patlabor MG already sanded & cut for 4 years in the box. Paint white color hardest since KL air so dirty dust prone to get stuck on surface, making Clear Gloss Top Coat extremely hard to do.

if i want to paint i won't waste the effort on HG, why not build MG?

i mean if you using airbrush all the cleaning not that worth painting a HG. if you use can ones ok la.

btw never figure out how to make metallic paints that's shinny like mirror, heard of using black base + metallic paint + lots of sanding + few glossy top coats + polish but 1 mistake have to start again...

why do i sound like trolling? 1/144 is so small you use so little paint when using airbrush it's not worth the time to clean it and change paint, unless you have multiple airbrush line up then it's easier can clean when finish. but if you use can spray paint it's so much more convenient.

to me painting is the hard part, assembly is much easier, of course exclude PG. so i really want to use airbrush i would prefer building at least MG. but seasoned builder like you probably can paint x3 faster than me.

I am new to this,and nvr build even 1 gundam before.. Am still surveying the grades and reading comment.. So at the moment, I see myself more of a collector rather than a real hobbyist..

Since MG price is much more expensive compare to NG, almost double, and of cos it is much more harder to build (not sure can I build it or not since I am beginner), so I decide to go for something cheaper and easier..

HG not in my consideration, cos it is too small.. Prefer min 1/100 scale.. For small one, I like the SD grade more..

I'm surprise Bandai didnt milk MG fenice or fenice rinascita yet since Wing Gundam fanbase is quite huge in US

nu is freaking huge at close to 21cm with the ver ka, and even the old one is a good 18-19cm
not only compare to rx78, compared to a lot of things its bigger

i oni own basic tools... fyi i hv few unit of RG and MG too
unless u wan to intro special modelling tools... especially the tamiya one

Was wondering, how hard would it be to affix the LED unit after  building the PG Unicorn?let's say, I bought a PG Unicorn, then built it. Then decided to buy the LED unit and want to put it in. Most of the build in the mags only show putting in the LED unit during construction.
