all this discussion on PG unicorn but no one asked if it will be cheaper to buy now or after GST ?
*
It's the other way around, right now the sales tax for scale model is 10%, GST will only be 6%.

Since diesel and petrol are GST-exempted, theoretically it should be cheaper.

im sick of having my clipper rust... any good brand to recommend? or ways to kept em dry without having to rust all the time...
i tried keeping em in my toolbox, they still rust like shEETTTSSS (had to get that out sry)

I've been using el cheapo Mr. DIY plastic cutter, has been serving me for 8 months now. You should clean it by using alcohol-dipped Q-tips, and put the cap on. Zippo lighter fluid works well too.

PG Astray one of the best things Bandai ever did haha. Yes, the pilot is its own protagonist from a manga/ova series. Isnt it awesome Red Frame is the only PG its series from manga? unlike other PGs so far.

PG wing is...horrible....maybe just my dream but I wish there is high demand for PG Z'gok Char's Custom lolz tongue.gif PG Sazabi is kinda overkill  sweat.gif

PG Sinanju will be the most glorious scale model, ever notworthy.gif

Unless you got an Ironman-level garage, dream on sad.gif

hmm, i wonder, how i should paint the pg unicorn if all the inner parts are abs?
i thought abs reacts badly to lacquer paint?
*
Haven't looked at the runners, but shouldn't it be PS?

Anyway you can use enamel or acrylic, make sure to prime it first laugh.gif

Distracting myself from the Unicorn poison, quick weekend project.

Making my own extra finish version with a 'cool' color scheme compared to the hot one of the OOB.

bro is ur burning's thigh loose? i just finish building mine, the legs always comes off. its hard to do any pose.

this is the most stable pose that it can do...

Basically there is nothing wrong, it's just that when you push the thigh joint into the crotch, the connection from the thigh joint to the knee joint gets loose. After you have managed to insert the crotch peg into the thigh joint, then only you connect the thigh and knee joint.

OMG guys, look at the WIP pic for PG Unicorn, now I really how am I suppose to plan the pre-assembly and painting later.

(I usually assembly it loosely first, then after that take them down for painting, but this one with wiring running inside the assembly will be much more complicated  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif )

p/s: Did any sifu here actually paint the component right after it cut down from runnier? If yes how you suppose to remember which number of the component was? (I dare not lose a part for a PG kit, my experience with PG 00 Raiser was hell simply because a small little screw was missing)
*
When I build a kit, I always have those zipper bags, usually divided into:

-Head
-Torso
-Left Arm
-Right arm
-Waist
-Left leg
-Right leg
-Backpack
-Weapon(s)

First, cut all the parts necessary to build one, let say left leg. Then only you trim those nubs and prep for painting. This way you won't lose any part and it's much neater to keep the WIP.

It's amazing that you remember the position of all those outer armor, consider it's a PG kit! ohmy.gif
*
PG usually has count parts that are slightly more than modern MG (hence, the complain that recent PG like 00R a d SF don't differ much from their MG counterpart). The bigger scale however allows you to do some intricate detailing that might be difficult to do on an MG.

If you want to play safe, just use my method. One zipper bag for each limb. Can buy 40 pieces per pack at Daiso for RM5 biggrin.gif

Depends. If you don't paint, top coat last.
if you paint, then you'll need several layers of clear coat.

I'm currently experimenting on painting a kit. Used an acrylic paint and did a panel line directly on top. A bit of the paint came off when i rub the panel line.

Acrylic needs longer curing time than enamel.
