QUOTE(Terbulance @ Mar 12 2015, 10:09 AM) I bought most of the tools from Gundam.my before. Now I just need to get one or two tools so if I buy online and have it shipped to me seems wasting money on the shopping cost. So thinking whether got any physical shops that I can walk in and buy it. Well, if there's no place selling, then I guess I don't have a choice. Thanks for telling me bout Tytroum though! If you really do want physical shop, there's Infinite Creation Workshop at Sunway Mas

QUOTE(kucingmainan @ Mar 12 2015, 03:54 PM) hi. im thinking about starting this as my new hobby. which model should i start with? any online shop with nice prices and reputation? If you have patience, i recommend starting with High Grade (HG). Any High Grade is fine, just choose the design you like. You'll also need atleast a clipper and a craft knife. As for where to buy, you can try the below: Gundam.my Gundamtoyshop.com Gwinghobby.com Gamersarena.com.my If you want to look at the manual first before buying, you can search at hobby search english site. However the manuals are only available for most models after 2003. If you want to build fast, you can try the FG or AG. They are cheaper too but lacks the articulation of HG.

NG 1/100 lacks articulation and design. The last of them was at the end of the oogundam season more less 7 years ago. If you want similar, go for RE 100. They however have a few models at the moment.

My first Gunpla was a NG because during that time thats the only Red Frame that I can get my hands on, after assembling a real 1/100 MG, I never really looked back to NG.

My first is NG 1/144 gundam wing zero. To me it was the best until i got NG 1/144 gundam DX. The HG wing line was kind of suck back then.

Sand paper only use if you are painting the model. use craft knife, cut gently the nubs and shave them slowly. it'll take effort, time and a lot of patience to build them. The satisfaction of completion is our reward. Which is why some builders are not collectors.

This happens to me while building the RG Exia. I've tried my best to be carefull. The thing snapped while trying to insert it. Well. Cement it in place now so the waist beam holder cannot move left right anymore Reaction to black light

you want bigger size just straightaway go for MG 1/100. No need go HG 1/144 or RG. i started with SD but i was in primary school. if you have confident in following simple step by step instructions you should have no problem building an MG. unless you want to paint then different story. you don't need any starter kit, just a tweezer & nail clipper. i just use nail clippers to do the job, they have grooves so they leave very little cut marks. you also need a gundam marker just for panel lining. only tricky part for MG is applying the sticker & dry transfer decals. takes about 2-3 nights to build a MG. or 1 full day on weekends unless it's a big robot.
