QUOTE(SetsunaFSeiei Exia00 @ Nov 26 2014, 04:33 AM) Depends. If you don't paint, top coat last.if you paint, then you'll need several layers of clear coat. I'm currently experimenting on painting a kit. Used an acrylic paint and did a panel line directly on top. A bit of the paint came off when i rub the panel line. |

QUOTE(rihuhs @ Nov 27 2014, 07:05 AM) build-wise, both are basically the same kit. They didn't include a panel line marker?the main difference would be, the HD version has glossy-type plastics, plus the colours seems a bit brighter than the normal one. aside from that, the HD version also got some extra metallic water slide decal. XP. |

HD thing. Buy if you don't plan to paint it.

QUOTE(:3mushy:3 @ Nov 28 2014, 10:00 PM) I usually paint around 11am, put under direct sunlight until 4pm. Best to give it 24 hours to properly cure (after a few hours of outdoor session, it's safe to store indoor during the late evening/night). Sigh.with this kind of weather it seems impossible. i even end up thinking of using a cooking oven to dry the paint... |

Weathering on a clear kit. Seriously, that's too much. I think clear kits were suppose to look good by being clear. Not smudge in effects of rust, mud, dust scratches, and other effects of environmental/war mishaps.

1/72 macross frontier kits. I have built 2. They are about the size of a normal 1/100 gundams. They can do the 3 transformation with only around 2 parts needed to be exchange. They are also quite detailed.
