how long do u guys need to assemble a HG or NG model? I am doing my first ever model (NG 1/100), and damn, it takes so long.. Had done for around 6 hours, and only the body, head and arm part is done..

What about MG duration? Planning to jump to MG once this NG done.. Any nice/cheap MG for recommendation?
*
Take your time, even in HG class there are different complexity between kits. HGUC may have more parts compared to, say, HGCE.

I usually take 2 hours to properly remove the nubs and sanding them, one hour for painting, 12 hours of curing time, and one hour for assembly biggrin.gif

He probably use a lot of plastic containers. Parts for head, one container, parts for torso another container, etc.
Overtime, you'll come up with ideas to keep the work organized and efficient.
*
Yes, I use zip-lock plastic bag. Two for legs, two for arms, one for torso (+head), one for waist, one for backpack, and one for weapons smile.gif

You can buy it at Daiso biggrin.gif

u mean u cut them out by looking at the manual, and put them in a plastic bag according to body parts?
*
Yes, then work piece by piece.

holla. what grade should i look for if im keen on the building parts and pieces together, but without paint job.

i just wanna try build one. Pls suggest a convertible type from recent gundam series. I like saviour. murasame and arios/kyrios too common.
*
You can try MG Epyon. Although it's transformable, but the overall build is robust. Plus you'll get a very cool two-headed dragons biggrin.gif

not familiar with that. kepala dia looks kapcai weh  tongue.gif  i've only  watched seed, seedD, age, turnA, 00

no model kit building experience.
*
If you have no model kit experience, I think it would be better for you to practice on a few HG kits first.

Thanks. HG looks more detailed and much much better. But its harder to build for newbies i suppose?  hmm.gif
*
Normal adult should have no problem with HG. A more meticulous one should also have no trouble with MG.

Guys quick question, what do I need if I want to make bullet effects on shield and/or laser beam sword marks on gundam? I heard using Soldering is the only way. How much one of them cost nowadays? hmm.gif
*
Soldering pen costs less than RM10, and the lead is even cheaper. If you want a cheaper solution, you can buy a precision set tool and start 'destroying' your Gunpla. Heat up a screwdriver then do what you like laugh.gif

while it does looks good than old Hi Nu
its still using old color scheme which is not really people liking,
and it is from manga, people dont know about it

if got in anime chance of people buying it will be high hmm.gif
like Amazing Red Warrior
*
Initially I had a mixed feelings about it, mainly due to the price that can buy me an RG. However after many thoughts, all the recent HG kits don't disappoint me so far, so why not? biggrin.gif

Yeah that bluish purple really turned many OOB builders down, but that's not gonna be a problem laugh.gif

But damn it, I missed the preorder on AmiAmi sad.gif

actually the old Hi Nu quite at same price range lor
2200yen, Vrave 2400yen

dont plan to get the magazine add-on?
to secure item from sold out?
some item even got 10% off price from retail so why not?

but if you mean PO oversea quite agree with you
as the shipping price dont make it worth

better PO local instead
*
I'm more of a Nu guy instead of HiNu laugh.gif To be honest, I only had the old MG HiNu, and not thinking of buying the Ver Ka in the foreseeable future. But the vRave design and details look make me interested, so maybe the price is just a tangible excuse I could use biggrin.gif

Already asked my colleague to buy the Dengeki when he work travel to Japan this April, so that part is pretty much covered. Not very fond of the Skarmory A Parts though.

About the PO thing, so far I have very pleasant experiences with AmiAmi and 1999, although sometimes their price after adding shipping cost would be more than buying local, I can get it much earlier. Again the price difference usually does not differ much to the extent of you would have to think twice (it's more of a luck at the time of payment, with the recent event that both MYR and JPY depreciates, it's a win-win situation). Anyhow it only applies to certain purchase, especially SHF smile.gif

from my own experience, yes, any kind of coat on chrome-like, gold-like, shiny silver will become ruined when u coat over it. it'll loose the shine.

so yeah, no top coat on shiny paint.

Unless you have access to industrial-grade liquid polyurethane, then no sad.gif

yeah, i was just telling my friend, might as well use dish rag to make the cloth.. more "authentic" feel

Speaking about cloth, one or two years back I saw online of a modeler using very a intricately-made velvet and satin cape for an SD Knight biggrin.gif

Simple analogy; RG is PG in 1/144 scale. They are similar but not 100% the same.

painting nightmare...
hahahahah
but now 6/10 will get.. need to see more on joints...
*
Most likely have to get two kits, painting on transformable and lots of part-swapping is bad for painting...
