QUOTE(Victor3010 @ May 27 2016, 04:38 AM) I think sand brick could have been chosen to fulfil the scoring requirement in the GreenRE Bronze Will research more on these bricks next time, more importantly they selected a good brick supplier and the brick spec. Workmanship of the brick layer and plasterer is also crucial to achieve the intended building properties, will go observe it when there's the chance ... As far as GreenRE is concerned, there are few categories one must meet its requirements, such as Energy & Water Efficiency, Environmental Protection, Indoor Environmental Quality, Carbon Emission of Development and Other Green Features. Moreover, the advantages of using the clay bricks has very minimal effects to the environment compared to the sand bricks as sand bricks tend to increase the indoor temperatures higher than clay bricks. Hence, I don't see why BRDB is not adopting by using the clay bricks (as now it is seen at the party wall section only). Could it because of the cost effective measures taken up by BRDB?

QUOTE(Victor3010 @ May 27 2016, 06:05 PM) I think it is because clay brick production is very energy consuming... some of the GreenGE recipients also have their projects used clay bricks and they have received even higher status (Silver or Gold) for GreenGE

QUOTE(Victor3010 @ May 27 2016, 06:34 PM) Icic.. Thanks for the info Probably many other targets being met too.. Will read more on it one day... I think certiain sand bricks these days do meet the bomba requirement, but the stigma is still red brick for party wall for the least Well.. Beyond our control la on the decision of material... Hopefully can find out on the properties of the sandbrick one day.. Guess everyone will keep an eye on Amaryllis once it is completed so as to judge whether it fulfills what BRDB has offered to folks in Tamansari...

Rite, Brdb's brand image is well established so don't think they would compromise on the quality and workmanship... Just wondering why they use sandbricks??

I think the original one (see attachment) speaks better of what the tamansari is all about...an affluent lifestyle township...

It was taken from the banner on the street. But I think better for BRDB to standardise the usage of the original logo to all materials since it will have an impact to the township...I mean the image to tamansari. I personally in favour of the original logo.

It could be the reason why BRDB named it as amaryllis when they launched this inaugural 1st phase of the Tamansari...

Too kiasu and there is lost of confidence in itself for the New Rev version.
Better for brdb to ask their advertising & design agency to look into it, bro... after all, we are not the expert in this field, agree?
