do you got any call?

I got a call from GDex at around 9am. They just wanted to make sure that I was in to collect personally. The guy who turned up said that there are so many phones that he has to deliver today in Penang.
BTW the tracking page on MOS still has not been updated. Still shows the packaging stage. Still shows delivery date of the 12th of November.

The Gdex guy who called me this morning specifically mentioned that I have to be there to receive the phone.

what does it mean when the order says "Order is in pickpack" ? meaning in g dex hand already?
*
I think thats what it means although now I know that the tracking system is not accurate at all. Although I have received my phone this morning it still says 'order is in the pickpack'. My delivery date is still 12th of November.

Just wondering if anyone had similar experience when activating the sim card. Called up the 1-300 number on the card in the box and was talking to this lady. After verifying my IC number and all, she asked me which plan I chose with my new phone. Then she asked me how long the contract is for. She sounded as if she doesn't know what plan I bought the phone for. Seems to me that they should already have this information when I bought the phone on line. If I was mean I could have told her only for 12 months where the upfront payment would be higher and she wouldn't know!

Too late as I already told the truth and she has probably keyed the info into the system. smile.gif

BTW does anyone know if I want to convert a normal sim card to a micro sim, do I have to go to Maxis centers or can any phone shop do it?

Just for fun, I checked my tracking info on their website and it is still stuck at the pickpack stage! I received my phone 2 days ago. The moral of the story: as long as it is in the pack, your chances of getting the phone is pretty high. Sad that we have to resort to guessing in this day and age.

funny thing.

Just received SMS from Maxis stating MOSxxxxxx is dispatched. Tracking number for your order is MOSxxxxxx.

Secs later received another sms. Your Order MOSxxxxx is delivered.

I on the other hand, have already got the phone since Saturday by GDEX. hahaha oh maxis....

Just got an SMS from Maxis saying that the phone has been delivered and an email from MOS thanking me for choosing their services. My phone has been with me since last Saturday. Now when I go to the tracking page, their is no more tracking button that I can click on.

Everyday I count my lucky stars that I was the few lucky ones who had a less traumatic experience with this preorder debacle.

The sequence of events. Tried booking on the 31st of October. Website melted. Finally managed to leave my phone number on the website (even this took a few tries). On the 2nd of November got an SMS from Maxis saying that the booking process has been 'expanded' and I can now complete my order. The online process went smoothly.

Started to drool on the 6th when some selected few got their new phones via the much hyped 'Midnight Express'. Amidst all the virtual anguish of the lowyat forums, got a call from GDex on the 8th saying that I should be on standby for delivery at 11 AM. Fortunately I was home and at 10.30 AM I received my iphone 6 (128 G). End of story.
