Going to share my experience. I bought Lepin 05028 Superstar Destroyer about a month ago. The parts are all good but it got quite a bit of missing pieces. The part rounded in red circle about 90 of them is missing (total in this model is around 140+). I'm requesting for the missing part from the seller (one of the shop in Amcorp) it should be here in few days.

Here is the roughly finished product. The plastic is softer than LEGO sets and usually very easy to disassembly, and because of this the long parts are easily warped. But it is sturdy enough and not fall apart even on this very long model (1.24m in length). The leg is very sturdy and you can transport it easily, just mind the length.

The other model I bought yesterday is Lepin 05046 Rebel Blockade Runner. This is one of my favorite UCS set that I really wanted for a long time. This time I got a few extra parts, and two defect parts (one looks like it's been compressed and the other is not enough plastic on the block) but I can hid the parts easily so it's a non issue. Here is some of the extra bit.

But this have LEGO flaw as well, the part is build in sections, and the worst bit is the massive 11 engines is so damn heavy I spend 3 hours on top of 8 hours trying to fix the engine mounting properly. First time it simply disintegrated when I lifted it and after thorough look in the manual I made few adjustment and add some parts from the extra bit to make it sturdier. The engine alone have 15 sections that needs to be attached to the main engine structure (the 11 engines, 4 attachment for outboard engine left and right side).

The finished product is absolutely stunning drool.gif

I cannot imagine I'm having 2 UCS inside my room right now. If I bought LEGO set would fetch me more than RM10k, I didn't even spend close to RM1k for both laugh.gif Size comparison for both sets.

I'm planning to buy the Imperial Star Destroyer next but I'm out of room to place it. I bought it for nostalgia sake, I dream of having these set since high school when it was released. Thanks Lepin for making my dream come true thumbup.gif and no thanks to LEGO collector making these set price sky high shakehead.gif

damn the blockade runner looks really good. how much n where u got it wub.gif

Bought it from Amcorp, Lot 1-25 first floor for RM330. Its the last one. The shopkeeper said some collector ordered it and thus bringing a few extras. Im lucky to got the last one.

My original plan is to get the ISD but when I see the blockade runner I nab it without a second thought. I didnt see any seller in mudah or lelong bringing this model in particular, even the shopkeeper say she didnt know this ship even though this is the first one that come out in the original trilogy back in '77 laugh.gif

Finished my 05027, this set is tough, the magnets are too strong that I need to put hot glue on some parts or it'll fall apart. Overall it's very pretty and looks amazing drool.gif Some of the parts are not LEGO original size like the main 3 engines but IMO the one LEPIN use is very similar in size to the movie counterparts

how did you handle the magnet issue?
*
Like I said I put hot glue on the main structure and the part that connects to the bottom surface. Mostly focus on the bottom part since it prone to falling apart.

did you just glue the magnets to the plastic or plastic to plastic and skipping the magnets? I plan to take it apart after building it...
how many missing parts did you experience?
*
I glue the magnet holder to the plastic it attach to. Its only 8 of them on the bottom structure and you can take it apart aferwards.

In total 27 missing parts, 26 of grey 1x10 and one 1x14 with side holes technic piece (this is common missing piece of this set). Also another common problem with this set is Lepin put a 1x2 brick with O holes instead of + holes (another technic piece) for making the bridge. I hotglue this thing as well, a total of 16 of these.

You can google Lepin 05027 on reddit, there is a thread there discussing it.
