The Chinese never really liked the Americans anyway. The Chinese government actually banned Apple products to be used in all government and government link sectors. Talk about paranoia. 

Well, I can say that our privacy is never protected. Just look at how our phones quietly sends data to developers, manufactures, etc and how our location services will automatically turn on and tracks our location. Best part is, when you install an app, it will require access to your location, address book, social media etc etc and if you decide not to allow that, the app won't be running.
Anyway, a lot of people are too eager giving our their personal details. Look at the posts on facebook, the pictures on instagram.
