is it much better to get it from online store than the retail stores?

I just started reading this thread and first few pages are about advantages of fast delivery but now since its been out so long, that advantage is nullified already right? hence my question.

and btw.. garage sales only selling like 150bucks cheaper, and its already opened, and its not the color i want. so yeah..
