less than 2K is good enough already if ur a fresh grad.... i mean what were u expecting?

just accept this as ur career's stepping stone...

then again, if ur not happy then just leave and apply for a new job smile.gif

So the IT outsourcing has begun...

Well it is just helpdesk (first level I presume?) so dont expect too much or stay for long.
Better brush up on your communication skills as intel ppl are a picky bunch.

I have some other frens work as help desk at Dell and they get RM2.5k for month.

I believed that the middleman/agent does get some sth from my salary, thats why i think i should ask higher than 1.8k that they have offered.

p/s: I work for 12 hrs per shift

Ok let put it this way. Under that company is consider as out-source to Intel. You're not Intel parmanent staff so your payroll is come with that company not Intel.

If you're degree holder, may be you can try to go for that parmanent job in Dell or Intel starting pay is rm2.5k and above. But in order to directly go in those MNC as parmanent staff you have to meet the following basic critirions:

-Either you're gradute with good result or
- have at least 1-2 years working experience.

Else choose to work in those sub-con company as your stepping stone to work in MNC as parmanent if you want to work in MNC later.

By the way, you seem like not directly get the job from those MNC or may be you have try to apply before but not meet thier requirement. So sub-con are your only choice now, go for sub-con first. sweat.gif

contract position is current trend now.
they just outsource their payroll to those agencies.

based on ur performance, u will be convert to permanent within 3-6 months.
else, one month before ur contract expired, they hv to inform u whether they want to renew or terminate the contract.

however, ur paid is too low for helpdesk. here are some references.
Dell 2.5k+
CSA 2k+
Datacom 2.2k+
Atos 2k+
EDS, IBM all above 2k+

helpdesk job normally include 200-300 shift allowance and also transport allowance from 300+ if that com is in cyberjaya.

the above salary is offer to fresh grad! gd luck!

my final advise, start ur first job in MNC. No Matter Permanent or Contract. Gd luck!

These are the salary paid by the mother company not the outsourcing company right?
OT, if you've read the news the first ppl to get axed in intel is IT. That's why i mentioned in my earlier post about IT outsourcing already happening there.
