in sabah so far yes as long as chinese restaurant with 'serve no pork' sign even without jakim halal all malays will come and eat together with the other races
there was once my dad bring a contractor from KL to sabah and he brought him to the local seafood restaurant no halal jakim although banyak melayu/islam makan he refuse to eat ended up bring him to mamak lel
