Hi,

I'm thinking of getting a Yamaha YSP 2500 sound bar because of the great reviews. Anybody know any places displaying & selling this item and the price range? biggrin.gif

Any idea when they usually do promotion?
Tried to look in their website but not very helpful.

Bought my YSP-2500 2 weeks ago from HN.
At that moment, they gave 2 options;
1. RM2950 - I year warranty
2. RM3030 - 3 years warranty.

I took the 3 years warranty option. sweat.gif
Thanks to all for guiding me. notworthy.gif

Hmm.....
I would say exactly the same as the 'What Hifi' review.

The good side; thumbup.gif
- Exciting, expansive sound
- Plenty of punch
- Beautiful design
- Greatly built (with quality materials)

The not very good side. hmm.gif
-It needs a suitable placement and space.
Because it reflects sound off the wall in order to deliver the sound effects. Furnitures can become obstructions.

Basically any sound bar will need a square and enclosed room to get the proper surround reflection.

Soundbar is still too expensive for what it is. Half the price then only i consider. They are no better than proper 5.1/7.1 entry level amp with proper speaker placement.

Agree.
However, some people favour sound bar than the 5.1/7.1 speaker system because of space constraint.
