hmm... and i was wondering last nigght why oil/energy stocks went south when oil price was going north...

i think not affecting oil prices, but the etf's and oil/energy stock prices taking a dive!

anyway, they made good gains lately. will see how for the rest of the week.

oil/energy is sexy, o&g jobs pay too well, everyone wants to be a part of it... the thought of usd200 a barrel, u know...!

google "oil usd200" n u will read so many saying that. i think, can... 2040.

i just took a quick look at the period 16 dec 2014- 2 jan 2015 when crude was around ud54, about same as now.

crosscheck that against some popular oil/energy stocks incl oih, slb and xle... their prices then were more or less the same as they r now. well, post 2 jan 2015, they all dived together with crude price going from 54 to 44.

so, buy now or not... what u think oil price will be in 1, 3, 6 months? 60, 70 or 50, 40?

shorts n longs... broj , pls give us a shout when u see the longs unload!

i tried... in another thread. data is mostly for oil at 44-52. can't draw a firm correlation but oil price has an effect, no doubt. other factors incl bnm reserves (likely intervention happened lately), foreigners buying/selling mgs, fitch, 1mdb and dr m cries combined probably has a bigger effect.

my read is it will be difficult to expect rm to get stronger than 3.60.

think this round is due to a defiant athens and grexit fears.

was watching a video on cnbc, the guy said, "europe sold all they wanted, can't sell more since market closed. so, they sell over here whatever they can".

and oil is slipping too...
