Hi everyone, I am new to this forum.

I have a law degree and I want to sit for CIMA exams but I don't have basic accounting skills and qualifications. After researching I understand that I have to sit for Certificate of Business Accounting (CBA) or LCCI Level 4 Diploma in Accounting and Finance.

Which one I should go for? which one is easier and cheaper? How long does it take to complete the CBA and the Level 4 Diploma? Is it possible to pass the exams through self-study as my mathematical competency is just average?

CIMA is really not that popular nowadays.

IF you are interested seriously to pursue a working life related to accounts, I guess that's your choice then.

But I would actually recommend you to take MBA rather than wasting time to take CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW/similar qualifications.

It's not easy at all + you probably won't have enough time to juggle em together.

It's not easy to qualify for professional qualification + it's expensive + you might not even use most of it after you spend all those $$
