Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I have a law degree and I want to sit for CIMA exams but I don't have basic accounting skills and qualifications. After researching I understand that I have to sit for Certificate of Business Accounting (CBA) or LCCI Level 4 Diploma in Accounting and Finance. Which one I should go for? which one is easier and cheaper? How long does it take to complete the CBA and the Level 4 Diploma? Is it possible to pass the exams through self-study as my mathematical competency is just average? Help.

Reason for doing CIMA is to change career into Accounting field or just extra knowledge?

CIMA is really not that popular nowadays.
IF you are interested seriously to pursue a working life related to accounts, I guess that's your choice then.
But I would actually recommend you to take MBA rather than wasting time to take CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW/similar qualifications.
It's not easy at all + you probably won't have enough time to juggle em together.
It's not easy to qualify for professional qualification + it's expensive + you might not even use most of it after you spend all those $$
