Why is everyone willing to queue up over the night just to buy their phones? Isn't it better to just order online and wait for the phone to come to your door step?
*
Because some people want to buy outright without contracts and comittment to any telcos. The queue, the agony and the trouble of sourcing for your Iphone is called the "Iphone Buying Experience."

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Nov 3 2014, 10:04 AM)
i believe they do keep some units for walk in customers and limited units to online delivery. becos walk in sales baru can attract more ppl like ppl will see so happening there then will go in, creates opportunities.

if order online, i will order from apple online store, definitely. my previous purchase of apple products from maxis is horrendous. They taichi my ipad air problem to machines, and machines taichi back to me. In the end i complain to apple online and they directly deal with me. So for me, i will buy either directly from the store that has a branch at my area, or i buy from apple online store.
*
Maxis didnt have any stocks at all for walk ins last year for the Iphone 5s.

The "iPhone Buying Experience" is highly recommended for at least once in your lifetime if you're an apple user/fan, and by this I don't mean the kind of "sell off my kidneys to buy an iPhone" type of fan but even a more reasonable one. The crowd, the queue, the drama, the arguments, and finally the joy of finally obtaining the device. It's quite an experience.

Haha no thanks on the "iPhone buying experience" tongue.gif I prefer to receive my new phones at my own comfort zone. Those time for camping/waiting is better utilize to do something else.

Well, Maxis is trying something different this time around with the midnight delivery. Let's see how that works out.

Queuing > sourcing anytime, sick of going everywhere and ask 'do you have stock?' like what I did for iPhone4.

Anyways, I'm desperate for first batch drool.gif

Bro, you pre-ordered thru Maxis Online Store?
If yes then how you got to know the delivery date so soon? Maxis people called you up for midnight delivery confirmation? rclxms.gif

Ohhhh, u've done this before ? Is there any pre order available ? Like i order online that 6th at 12.10 and then tomorrow i pick it up at the store ? Or the option is to deliver only
*
Only delivery option is available.

I bought it last time around afternoon, and got my iPhone almost 2 weeks later.

When you place order, you will see the estimated delivery time, the earlier you place order, the sooner you will receive.

So I recommend you wait on 12.01am 6th November to place order once it launched in Apple Online Store.

iPhone buying experience? Mine was pretty okay with queuing up comfortably at midvalley gardens lobby with my gf.

Then ... the 7:20AM rush from carpark to maccity bangsar to get ipad 2. I bring my reading/study materials on my iphone so I don't waste my time.

Pretty tame experience compared to the bigger taikos here taking flight just to buy the phone laugh.gif

I bought my unlocked iPhone5 at SengHeng Electrical Shop (Sg, Buloh) last time, 3 days after it was officially available in Malaysia.

I wonder if I can do the same this time for the iPhone6 Plus?

Only if SenHeng is One of the early launching. Just like this time, Umobile is not one of the early launching Telco.

Maxis's Midnight Express delivery not for every pre-ordered set, only if you’re lucky enough to be picked. Gimmick IMO.

waiting is suffering when you know you already done the payment, you dont kno when it gonna reach, or the time when everyone post up their new toy vmad.gif (at least for me) rclxms.gif

U Mobile is not Apple iPhone telco partner.

SenHeng set was from DiGi.
