Hi everyone,

Investment newb here. Looking forward to learn a ton from abg2/kakak2 investment otais here. notworthy.gif

Right now I'm trying to open a TS Global account but somehow stuck in terms of providing a valid ID (one that lists your DOB). Apparently my driving license and NRIC doesn't count as they do not display the DOB (tried explaining to them that my DOB is in the IC number itself but, yeah no comment from them). whistling.gif

Hence, only a passport would do. Mine has just expired in April this year, & if I can help it, I don't want to make a new one right now.

I'm wondering if you guys also used your passports to validate your DOB to the folks at TSG?

Thanks.

This happened to me. They don't believe or understand whatever you say about IC.
Not mistaken, passport is required to verify identity as international investor. IC can only be used to verify address.
You can try your luck with birth cert.

huhu, glad I'm not the only one LOL.
I see. I might have to get a passport then.

Better just use passport.

The next problem is the IC doesn’t have your signature. Your passport should have your signature.
Address usually need to be verified with ur phone or utility  bills, or bank account statement.

Yeah. They did mention that. Think I might just need a passport then.

No need.
I just provide them with credit card statement and ok already

This, I already provided. But they want to verify DOB, which won't be present in credit card statements (at least on my statements I don't see it).

Thank you for the responses guys. Really appreciate it. biggrin.gif thumbup.gif

Hi all, it's been a while since i last visited here.

For IBKR/TSG funding is cimb click > fastsaver > ibkr is still the best method around? Or are there other more efficient cost-saving routes out there?

Apologies if this was already been made clear before, but the pinned msg still recommend the above method. sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif
