but some on internet saying the problem is because of this stwrt64.sys  and Rtnic64.sys driver become old for windows 8.1. And required to update tht driver to become compatible with windows 8.1.

source: http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-crashes-de...ws-8-1-pro.html

and when I google about the driver above. And stwrt64.sys driver is the High Definition Audio Driver. So try updating that audio driver and the rtnic64.sys is the Realtek driver. So problem is with them actually. So maybe the driver didnt found the hardware component or other related stuffs.
*
I think the RealTek driver it's referring to is not the RealSpeed software.. it should be the audio or other RealTek driver..
Yesterday I just encountered a BSOD also.. error code : PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
I googled and it said it's cause of RAM problem or hardware problem.. Find it quite weird cause I'm using it for 1 months ad without any sign of corruption..
Hmm.. Mind go to KL after CNY to have a throughout check with Prince J..

Collected my z5 yesterday from Illegear. Just installed win 8.1 pro so far no problem yet, cooling is amazing no sound at all, right now installing  Far Cry 4 lets see the gameplay. And having doubt in gpu. Currently no gamme playing so it's showing intel hd graphics ... but will it change it self to nvidia when start game?? . Everything is awesome except  the num key is not enable when starting OS so become hard sometimes. Anyone knows how to make it enable as default. TQ

Forgot to mention battery.Battery is beyond my expectation. Because my old laptop once battery full then itwill say batterry full and keep on charging but  z5 stick on 99% and not touching 100% when connected

Gratz on the machine.. again welcome to Z5 family biggrin.gif
mostly ur nvidia will be kicking in when you play game.. if your're unsure you can chekc it at the nvidia control panel..
The number pad issue is due to win8.1.. you can google it.. there's a lot of post regarding this issue.. it's cause by the Fast Boot Up or hybrid boot up..

Dear all, the BSoD issue hit me up again. This time I got BSOD when I trying to boot up my system. I power up device , after BIOS screen it goes blackout and a moment later got BSOD message. Anyone experiencing similar issue?

@Prince J , I could only provide whatever logs you need because I am not living in KL, therefore couldn't bring the whole device to you.

Erm.. mind share what's the error code ? So far I just encountered 3 BSOD. After CNY will go to ILLEGEAR to have a stress test and check up..

The first BSOD I encountered is Driver_Power_State_Failure. After that no more.. Sorry can't help you much on this. I get that error I suspect is due to I'm doing Furmark on my Z5.. so many the power supply is not enough.. But I'm not sure..

Better find 1 day to send your laptop back to ILLEGEAR, post laju or carry in lo.. no choice

So have you tried it ? So far I didn't encounter that BSOD anymore.. So I suspect my BSOD of that error code is due to I'm doing Furmark.. but it's still weird..

I will have a look in it after CNY. Let me know if it helps you out, so I can try it after CNY.

Thanks first ! do update me after you tried out the suggested way to solve the problem. smile.gif
Yea.. Hopefully I won't encounter any BSOD anymore..
But do you encounter other BSOD frequently ? if so then I highly suspect its your driver and hardware problem..

Hi, here's the reply from the forum I posted earlier.

So bottom line, if you have Mionet, or WinpkFilter, uninstall either of them. If you have WinpkFilter as opposed to Mionet, you may need to rename it instead by navigating to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and find and rename ndisrd.sys to ndisrd.old, and then restart the computer.

However I couldn't really understand what he's trying to tell me. He mentioned WinpkFilter, could it be the RealSpeed Utility that cause the problem?
*
I got no idea also.. I'm not a very Windows system tech guy.. You need to consult others I think. Sorry cant help you cry.gif
But I think it may not due to the RealSpeed Utility, cause I didn't install that but still encounter the BSOD.
Those file the guy mention I think it's the system file, cause it's located in the system32 folder.

P/S: since the RealSpeed utility is not compatible with the AC wifi card, just uninstall it. If you want to limit the bandwidth of others, use other software like P2POver or set the limitation through your router.

seems like a lot of bsod from users
*
Lol.. Actually so far just 2 or 3 users having frequent BSOD if not mistaken.
That's the bad part of getting DOS version of laptop. No pre-installed stuff, so sometime if you do it yourself you may have some mistake.
Just hope that it's not hardware issue lo..
My Z5 so far encountered 3 BSOD, nothing serious.. working fine till now rclxms.gif

By right bsod should not even occur for a new laptop, not even once..if occur either software (pirated version of windows) or hardware failure (if this is the case go straight to illegear)..

Couldnt be driver issue coz i install all drivers normally on a PIRATED VERSION of windows 7 (using removewat to activate it) and no bsod so far..so for those who got bsod, u know what to do
*
Windows 7 tend to have less chances to get BSOD.. cause most of the software is compatible with win7.. Win8 or 8.1 is different story.. you know lar.. Win8 standard sweat.gif
I also feel very shocked as I get 3 BSOD total for my 1 month Z5 cry.gif
I just hope it's not a hardware failure.. Will go to have a check in ILLEGEAR office after CNY..

Very true..i know windows 8 got shitload of problems, deswai i use win 7 until windows 10 release..but if its a hardware problem, im sure illegear will solve it asap...what im more afraid is when windows 10 release, all of us r probably gonna upgrade to it, hopefully the drivers illegear release are compatible and no bsod in windows 10

Btw inform us of ur update after cny
*
I terpaksa need to use win8.1.. cause I'm a developer.. need win8.1 just can develop windows apps.. no choice..
I think win10 still long.. mostly Q3 or Q4 2015 just will release.. we can use Dev version on Q2 though..
Let's hope the driver is updated during that time.. sweat.gif

*
Nop.. If I remember correctly I can't even install the RealTek 1.. cause I'm using AC card

Reason for i want to disable the webcam and turbo boost is im not using them alot and disabling both might extend the battery life a little bit
Cant seem to find the option to disable
*
Yup.. The BIOS option is damn little.. First time I encountered BIOS with so little option.. haha
I can't even find the Virtualization Option used by VM in BIOS settings sweat.gif
Please consider adding more settings in BIOS.. We don't wanna get left out icon_question.gif

Intel Turbo Boost can be easily disabled with some trick. Kindly pm me for more info.

As for the webcam, turning it off won't save the battery life much.
ILLEGEAR Z5 has many options to configure in BIOS

[attachmentid=4317490]

Press F2 upon booting up -> "Boot Features" to get access to this page.
*
Do pm me about how to turn off the intel turbo boost in BIOS..
and yes i know F2 will bring me to the BIOS features.. but compare to other brans bios setting, its still little.. eg: virtualization for VM swttings

I installed the genuine original OS windows 8.1 pro with license key but not sure why error. Did u tried running furmark test on my unit? was it good when you testing it.
*
Try giving Prince J your Nvidia driver version, you can find it in GeForce Experience application. Cause recently Nvidia just have a driver update.. It maybe have something to do with the Nvidia/Intel error.. So far I haven't update the Nvidia latest driver yet.
And for your question, before the recent update of Nvidia driver, I did played BF4, COD AW and light Dota 2. All three are running fine except Dota 2 Local Lobby match (it's not smooth in local lobby match, normal pub or MMR is fine)

Ya I did update my Nvidia Experience. To the latest version 2.2.2.0

I means your Nvidia Driver.. not the application version.. It should be something like 347.25 for latest version

Hey I still getting few BSOD everyday like kernel data inpage error, critical process died, 0x000021a and 0x0000135. Tried to find minidump in windows but cant find any, tried chkdsk, sfc scannow and memory diagnostic but return no problem. What should i do now?
*
How often do you encountered the BSOD ? Fastest way to solve this issue is to send it back to ILLEGEAR..
If you encountered it frequently, it's mostly a hardware failure..
It's so weird.. I didn't encountered any issue as well as Arvinaaaaa.. hmm hmm.gif

It depends. Mostly i get it at least 3-5 BSOD a day. Even tried reinstall windows and without any software when installing drivers also encounter BSOD. Haiz.
*
Send in your laptop to ILLEGEAR, did you install your own SSD or purchase it from ILLEGEAR ? Prince J had asked you to send back the laptop, cause the SSD may not be valid 1.
