QUOTE(frostyiv @ Dec 28 2014, 10:57 AM) Anyone have problem installing the wireless lan driver? i installed many times but i cant find it in the adapter settings? T.T Your WiFi card is AC ? or N ? If it's AC then you need to download the driver from Intel site and install it yourself. The driver provided by the CD is for RealTek 1 if not mistaken |

QUOTE(MgrSagaaboyz @ Dec 30 2014, 12:01 PM) Hi guys M a new z5 buyer just ordered. Can anyone tell something about its fan. Coz some people says we can increase fan speed by pressing FN + 1. So aren't the fans adjust the fan speed them self according to the temperature? Pressing Fn + 1 will force the fan speed to go maximum spinning. It's a bit loud/noisy but it indeed help to cool the laptop better when under full load.. Normally under normal load you doesn't need to use the Turbo Fan..Correct me if I'm wrong Also, Welcome to Z5 family !!! |

QUOTE(Monya Meow Meow @ Dec 31 2014, 09:58 AM) I've had my Z5 for almost a week now and everything seems to be going along smoothly. Only problem is the frequent cleaning of this machine.. I tend to keep whipping the keypad and the whole laptop to maintain it's clean beastly look No heating issues whatsoever and this beast is as cool as a cucumber Hahaha |

QUOTE(Arvinaaaaa @ Jan 4 2015, 12:00 PM) haha sorry bros, wanted to do a gameplay video when i created the unboxing video that is in youtube now...but damn busy with coursework and exams soon (until 15th jan)..so i just rush and do the unboxing video coz alot of members asking for it Watch Dogs is absolutely a no.. 860m can't handle it once finish i will do some gameplay videos with advance warfare, farcry 4, crysis 3, metro last light, and bioshock infinite..although i think the z5 will be able to handle all smoothly except maybe metro last light... Crysis 3 also.. according to notebookcheck.net Sad |

QUOTE(Arvinaaaaa @ Jan 4 2015, 12:39 PM) overclock You can try play it at high settings 1080p.. Watch Dog and Crysis 3 I did try it out.. Both getting below 30fps.. edit: got 2 versions of gtx 860m, r u sure its the correct one coz ours is maxwell chip and 4gbversion Yet along Ultra settings.. Not playable.. Z5 has only 1 version of 860m which is maxwell 4gb.. 4gb didn't make much different as our own 860m is not high end card.. You can check out notebookcheck.net, there's a professional review on 860m card.. they also stated 860m at most can play on high settings on demanding game on 2014, no ultra settings. But game before 2014 should be fine with ultra.. but maybe no 1080p |

QUOTE(MgrSagaaboyz @ Jan 5 2015, 10:21 AM) So what can we do? Do you really think tht we need to overclock gpu? I don't think tht the best idea though. We can't do anything.. It's gtx860m.. it's a budget graphic card.. Not the high end 1.. Those game you're playing like Watch Dogs, Assassin Creed IV, Crysis 3 are all demanding games. Which mostly require a high end graphic card to run them on Ultra / High Settings 1080pYou should realize it before you get yourself a gaming laptop.. As for normal game and previous year high demanding game (Crysis 2 or 1, BF3 or any game prior 2014), 860m should be find on High settings 1080p No need to overclock your gpu, since you're not sure what you're doing.. and personally I feel that OC-ing a laptop gpu won't make much diff. QUOTE(milky @ Jan 5 2015, 11:44 AM) bought 2x z5 on 31st Dec.. right on the last day.. hopefully can get this week... Fuyoh.. buy 2 units sia.. Gratz on your laptops !hope everything runs well Welcome to Z5 family !!! |

QUOTE(mingxun112 @ Jan 6 2015, 09:39 AM) But I think OC 860m won't do much different I think.. Still won't be able to play those game in ultra/high 1080p Maybe a bit improve in performance lo.. Didn't try yet.. I scare it will shorten the gpu lifespan |

QUOTE(buttwait @ Jan 8 2015, 02:31 PM) Nop.. So far based on the benchmark, it's 30% increase in term of performance compared to 860m..So 860m getting 50fps then 965m will be getting about 65 ? lol If you want high end gaming on ultra 1080p, 965m is not the choice.. 970m or 980m is your bet.. And 2GB vram is not enough to play most high end game on ultra settings.. The coming Witcher 3 if not mistaken, require 6GB vram to play on ultra / high.. |

QUOTE(hyperyouth_firepower @ Jan 10 2015, 03:12 PM) if I read right, supposedly, not that big difference (on paper), 45%-50% higher than the 860M, and slightly better than 870M. Yea.. Some game don't even support SLI Not bad lah. On SLI mode it's supposed to be better than 980M, but then rule of the thumb: never trust SLI scores on real life performance. |

QUOTE(xarive @ Jan 13 2015, 07:39 PM) I put my laptop on a plastic-made table and it warmed my hand. I used it during my work and sometimes it warmed too. Not sure about others. How about during gaming? Does the keyboard warmed up even slightly will do? Do you block the air intake ?? Try see whether your table got a "pop" surface which may block the air flow at the bottom of the laptop.. If you're using cooling pad make sure the air flow is not reversed.. My Z5 so far okay.. just some time feel a bit warm.. 80% ram usage 50% cpu usage |

QUOTE(xarive @ Jan 17 2015, 09:47 PM) Currently not in KL. Not anytime in future planning. We'll see :'( Thanks for your offer. BTW, what's Realtek RealSpeed for? I installed them too but I use INTEL DUALBAND. Is it the problem for BSOD? I also believe the Realtek RealSpeed is not the course.. And I think we can't use the RealSpeed software as we're using different wifi card, intel AC.. I didn't install the utility software, if it's possible to be used, please correct me |
