Haven't been surverying GPU's for years. How much different is the 960m compared to the 970m? Worth the extra RM800? Would love an UHD option too.

The performance difference between 960M and 970M is very huge. Around 50%.

Helppppp me!

My z5 kena dunno what virus and its spreading to all device. (My ipad and samsung tab (wife))

Eg. When i browse a site, it will auto divert me to some adv or malware. Or if i sucessfully go into espn, when i click on a title for more detail, again it ll pop up another site(adv) and its seriously affecting my pc performance, now when i play gta v it will hav shutter lag (hang there for few sec and then back to smooth play again)

Solution 1, reformat z5 - where can i get the latest illegear driver? Can i use the cd driver provided by z5? I m using win8 currently.
Solution 2, directly upgrade to win 10, however i understand there is no driver support for win10, please correct me if i am wrong.

I have tried to uninstall chrome and switch to opera, ie8 and the virus is still there.
If i reset the router would it help? Since somehow my ipad and tab will hav the same stupid virus.

Appreciate the z5 users can giv ur opinions lol. Should i upgrade to win10?? Or stick to win8?

If you're using Win8 or 8.1, do a FULL SCAN using Windows Defender. It is built in antivirus software. Uninstall your browser completely and reinstall back using the official link from the respective browser site. Download AdBlock plugin to block those ads which sometimes will redirect you to other site.

If it still doesn't solve your problem, the safest way is to perform a reformat

Try check on "Uninstall or change a program" built in application for any suspicious program that installed or no? If something suspicious try googling the suspicious program for further details about it. If confirmed that the application making that ads/malware/virus blah blah then uninstall it. If its spreading on all type of device like tab/phone/.... then try use a different internet connection that not connected to your modem (example, like mobile 3g...) if not having the ads/malware/viruss which mean the problem is at your router, try reset if still got problem then complain to ISP.

happened to me before, save the hassle. reformat and back up importtant stuff but this step is also questionable because not sure the virus attached itself to these important files or not haha later reformat and bring in those infected files will do same thing. next after clean format is to defend it make sure not happen again

I nvr know theres is a win defender. I sha try thatout. And i wonder is it necessary to run win defender in safe mode? Or normal mode can kill it?

Normal is fine. But make sure you perform a FULL SCAN on all your HDD or SSD partition.

No need reformat all..defender scan and just check your installed programs..u can download and run malware removal tool also

You need to block something from ur bitdefender that not allowing win defender.

I recommend use Windows Defender is sufficient. If you want to use Windows Defender, you need to turn off / deactivate the other anti virus first, then enable Windows Defender back. There should be a menu to switch windows defender on, try google it.

If nothing detected, run a malware test and install ads block plugin in your browser. Sometimes it is not virus but those ads which redirect you to other sites. The easiest way to solve this is to reformat then make a recovery DVD or partition, so next time you can revert back to it.

Normally FULL SCAN on each HDD partition take about 30min - 2hrs subjected to your HDD capacity and usage.

Just got mine last weekend (970m with win8.1) my first ever pc upgrade since 7 years. At first encountered 1 or 2 problems:

- couldn't copy files in bulk from my external hdd, had to copy bit by bit
- laptop hangged after installing anti virus, had to force restart
- flash player was giving lots of problems

BUT all was fixed after updating windows.

Overall, laptop build felt more solid than what I was aspecting, when gaming gpu temp was constant around 60-70 celcius,also came with a awesome bag.

Recommended for those who are looking for slightly cheaper but good quality gaming laptop.

2 folders with lots of files in them, 1 folder around 141mb the other folder is 10gb.
