Take CCNA certification and make sure u really know what it teaches. Use dumps as little as possible.

Buy some low end PC and practise some networking. During interview, tell the boss about ur little home project. As Malaysia IT market is not that big to seperate network engineers and system engineers, keep your options open and apply for any IT engineer job.

Agree with flamer. Try not to use dump at all, unless you want to be caught speechless in the interview. Study and play around with the router/sim.

Not everyone can afford to have their own network at home.I suggest that u look for and IT engineering jobs on hardware. As time goes by if ure specialised in networking ur boss will transfer you.don't worry, networking field is not so welcoming in msia yet.

Or get CCIE,then people will come to get u.

I agree, it doesn matter what paper ure holding. As long as u have the skills and knowledge to handle and troubleshoot problems, they'll hire you.Just prove urself capable.Being a maintainence engineer as starter? Or maybe an installer?

Firstly, for my company they require you to take a technical test where they test u based on skills and knowledge. However u must at least posssess a diploma. The It engineer term is too generalised. You need to narrow down the scope so i can provide more infomation.IT engineer can be a server administrator. It can also be a customer engineer. It can also be a networking specialists. So which one are we talking about?

I guess u can qualify as a customer engineer to maintain and troubleshoot customer's pc?thats the job scope of the customer engineer. The pay depends, but the range is around 1500-2000.Depending on the experience. If ure skillful enough as in u know everything,u can earn up to 10k.But thats really pro.My manager here is one of the 54 CCIE holders in malaysia.A simple example will make u understand.
Imagine a mechanic that can troubleshoot the problem and fix everything like ease within his fingertips. What impresses people most is that when u try to start the car he already know what's the problem by listening to the sound and having a quick look under the hood.Just my 2 cents, hope it helps.
