Just called the pre approval number this afternoon. Asked whether the same thing can be done for visa signature and was told yes. Asked the CS whether she can applied both this ikhwan mastercard & the VS at one go. She adviced me to try the VS first, if failed only she proceed with ikhwan. Called me back after 30 mins and ask for my precise annual income, which is <100k PA she said sure will be rejected, told me to just go for ikhwan straight.
I said ok, let's see how things go from here. Maybe I should just pledge another 5k FD to get the VS.

Received sms from maybank stating that my application has been approved. Check on M2U, ikhwan card approved with credit limit of 3k haha! Pathetic but well i'll only use it for the 5% purposes. So it's actually more than enough

QUOTE(plain_white @ Jul 30 2015, 06:21 PM) I also just received the sms today saying my application was approved. Exactly 1 week after I filled up the application form. But when I checked m2u, the credit limit is just 5k. I'm also holding m2c with credit limit of 15k. I think from now on probably I'll use less of the m2c since no more cash back. How can I adjust the credit limit for both cards? I'm planning to reduce the credit limit for my m2c and increase for my ikhwan Max 5% rebate is only RM50 which equals to a spending of 1k. Why would u want more credit limit? At least with the M2C amex, u get 5x TP rather than the 1xTP on the ikhwan

QUOTE(huatken @ Aug 6 2015, 12:54 AM) I was told the same at 1U. The person I spoke to explained that the Islamic credit cards fall under a different business entity, so I would need to apply fresh with supporting documents. If this is incorrect, can someone who have successfully applied without needing supporting documentation share how they went about this? I called in to the pre approval center number, answered some simple questions and card was approved approximately a week later. Pls take note that your salary has to be in maybank savings accounts.

Anybody can confirm if supp card for this ikhwan mastercard are also entitled for the 5% petrol & groceries rebate? Checked from maybank's site only principle card is entitled for the rebate.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 8 2015, 05:19 PM) You don't have existing MBB cards ya? Can but the cap of RM 50 is shared between principal card and other supp card(s) (if any). It's the same as MBB2Cards. That's what evryone says here. But look at the ikhwan disclosure page and it states otherwise. Maybe I should drop by the card center and ask them. If yes will. get another supp card for the wifey.

Just received my ikhwan statement today and I realised 11 TP was deducted. Weird though, don't tell me they deduct points when we used it for petrol/groceries? I only use this card solely for the 2 purposes.
