I believe that during Maybank Treatsfair, on-the-spot credit card issuance is offered for Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan Card. Are the credit card application handled by actual Maybank staff, or agents?

The free sling bag at Treatsfair is tempting, but is not that important to me. I am more concerned about my personal documents, such as my IC copy and my salary slips. After all, the fair will be crowded with a lot of people. I want to ensure that my personal documents are safely kept by actual Maybank staff, not agents.

So, should I apply for the card at the fair, or Maybank Credit Card Centre?

Thanks for the advice. smile.gif

Thanks for the reply, sms2u and victorywp.

If I apply for Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan Card in Menara Maybank, is it possible to get the card on the spot, 60 minutes after submitting the application?

Previous post in this thread mentioned that Maybank did not offer the RM 10 Starbuck gift card for this card. sad.gif

If you already have Maybank 2 Card Amex, would Maybank staff ask you on the reason to apply for Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan Card?

We cannot simply say that we want to get RM 100 cashback, from both set of cards, right? blush.gif

cientoo and red_scorpion, thank you for your informative reply.

Do you all know about this fixed monthly management charge, and how do we prevent it from being incurred?

Other than petrol and groceries spending on Friday and Saturday, is there any difference between using Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan Card, and Maybank 2 Card MasterCard?

The sole benefit is just that every RM1 spend locally and overseas earn 1 Treatspoints, right?

the big difference is that on 1st august, there won't be 5 percent rebate for maybank 2 cards

Yeah, I understand your point. smile.gif

I am comparing between MasterCard Ikhwan Card, with Maybank 2 Card MasterCard. It is not Maybank 2 Card Amex.

The general feedback here is that there is not much difference in using either MasterCard Ikhwan Card or Maybank 2 Card MasterCard. sad.gif

3) wonder if we can pay x-amount, e.g. RM300 one-shot, instead of bill amount?  hmm.gif

cybpsych, have you obtained the answer to this question?

____

On a side note, has anyone purchased moon cakes, using Ikhwan card, in event area in Aeon? This is considered as a grocery transaction, right?

been chatting with Sam's Groceria rep over FB about utility bill payment there...

1) Sam's accepts payment for Celcom, U Mobile, RedTone, Astro, and TM only.

As of now, we cannot pay for Maxis Postpaid bill, in Sam's Groceria, right?
