you should visit northern thailand, many tribal tribe from there especially those sharing borders

also take note of Karen tribe, they are Christian i heard but persecuted by the Burmese government, but from Thailand side i ma not sure, they have 1 unique identity which is long neck with ring wrapped around their neck for years

baba and nyonya is chinese at first but already inter marry with the local malays thus their customs is already different from those normal chinese on top of it they speaks malay language only

i am not sure about indonesian chinese, maybe because they already assimilated into indonesian culture thus the name also change

baba and nyonya their name is remaining like chinese name but they follow those very old chinese customs and traditions and few malay ethics
