Need help with 4k display, screen wont detect DP

Hi, im currently using UP2414Q with a provided DP 1.2 to mini DP. Previously i used a laptop which is attached with the mini DP end and the display ran just fine. recently i bought a desktop with GTX 970 which does not have a mini DP so i had to use the dp1.2 end and it wont detect (display port not detected).
anyone else with a 4k display mind sharing? do i need a dp1.2 to dp1.2 or is the problem somewhere else? |
