All this crap on touchwiz leads me to suspect that the head of software is either clueless or powerless.

Clueless is due to perhaps some astute political skill instead of technical, like what they liken Steve Ballmer at Micro$oft.

Powerless is perhaps due to most Asian societies and organizations not going against consensus or senior decisions.

It is likely a combination of both.

Point about custom ROMs....there is a distinct set of rights granted in Open Source licenses for which I can go into a very very long discussion, therefore please do not clump illegal activity with the legal technical activity of ROM customization.

the way i see it..modularity is the way to go for smartphones.... android certainly nailed that in software department..couple with hardware like Ara...android could potentially rule the world..
