Helium can restore app data without root but you need to install helium pc software to enable data backup.
Helium can not backup system app data like s health and some security app such as lastpass, google authentical app,etc.
I used it to restore my save game data, whatapps, browser setting and other apps. It did has problem restore app data for wechat.

The free version will do the jobs. If not mistaken, the paid version add backup in the cloud.

The smart remote apps is abit buggy for me. It is sometime fail to send the IR signal and carried out phone restart will solve that.
It is better to restart the phone before start set the ir remote code.


Anyone here get the free gear circle with note 4?

It is getting better with latest update of smart remote. But i may still experience some delay in sending IR signal especially immediate sending the IR code after launching apps. I need to press two three time to send the IR code. However, after that, the ir code signal is immediately.


This sending IR delay is the known issue according to the update log in play store:

the setup process in smart remote is still very buggy to me. Im not yet try other remote apps. not sure got similar problem or not. Other have any similar experience with smart remote apps?

I like habit browser. The browser can display full screen and got pie control to help navigate the browser especially in full screen mode. There is ton of customisation in the setting.

I think the downside is no flash support.

temporary solution is restart the phone or clear memory according to the above post.

The new firmware had fix my ir remote problem which is sometime not working. I think one of the lowyat member here got the same problem with me.

My one before upgrade to latest firmware AK5 is show SLSI-*. after update to AK5 firmware, it shows sony*

According to xda, all note 4 use the sony sensor. ISP shows SLSI is the kernel code not updated:

It seem logic as my one previously is also shown SLSI but now shown sony.
Are the two note you comparing have the same firmware>
