Hi
khainiz94 and
Nephrite, and any other Gear S owner.
Can you test this on your Gear S.
DISABLE bluetooth on your PHONE. Use the Here app and see if it can lock on a GPS signal quickly. Try the same with bluetooth pairing.
You can also use the S-Health Walking monitor on the Gear S, and Enable GPS Logging. See how long it takes with and without bluetooth pairing to the phone.
Appreciate if you can report the results.
I find that mine cannot have a GPS lock without the phone. This is not acceptable behaviour.

Looks like you and I have the same problem.
We need a few more confirmations.
nephrite can you confirm?
Test if your GPS can lock when not connected to the phone. Switch off your phone for best effect because the Gear S can sometimes trigger the phone's bluetooth even when bluetooth is off.
Hi Bro Sorry ya today quite busy. Just came back home 2 hour ago and test it. The test details and result as below.
1. I disconnect all Bluetooth and power off my phone.
