Guys, below is the photo of my condo unit and im planning to install and aircond in the hall

my mistake was not preparing the aircond point before installing the plaster ceiling which is a major headache now

user posted image
Red is where i would like to place my aircond
Blue is my mainbox

I cant put the aircond at the balcony door due to my plan to raise up the curtain all the way to the ceiling.

My question is:
1) is it possible to put my aircond there?
2) Will there be any permanent damage to my plaster ceiling after they hack it to place the cables?
3) can the air cond wiring go through that beam in the middle?
4) How much will it roughly cost for the wiring works?

Thanks

Just tap from the nearest power socket as well & then change the fuse to be higher one.

That is no problem at all, but still check the wires size good enough for support Aircon or unless the devolper used slim wire code and made in china one.

Usually one don't have any issue.

yeaa!! i was actually considering the same thing as i remembered my parents house using a normal plug to connect to the aircond, but was told by a few electrician that i have to pull the wire from the mainbox which really confused me. Using your suggestion would definitely save me a lot of time and money.

So it is possible to extend the wire from my typical plugs as in the diagram below? there is a power plug right below those switches

ok ive decided to rewire the aircond from the db box for my hall aircond. However i was quoted below from my usual contractor and was wondering if its a bit on the high side

Copper Pipe for
Aircond 1 - Hall unit as shown above
Aircond 2 - master bedroom unit with wire already jutting out of wall (i assume copper wire is not needed here?)
he quoted me RM800 for copper wire (35 ft)

Aircond point (what is this?)
RM150

was wondering if its reasonable. basically the cost above includes the wiring an repatching for the fresh new wire frmo db box. since hes quotation is based on 'agak agak' very hard to get itemized bill.

Guys, any idea on whats the difference between the panasonic CS-S10PKH and CS-S10RKH

GOing through the spec sheet the differences are
CS-S10RKH
+ R410A refrigerant
+ iAutoX

CS-S10PKH
+ catechin air purifying filter
+ solar refreshing deodorizing filter
+ rm90 cheaper

Conclusion. Makes no sense to me 😅

Got my panasonic 1.0hp inverter s10RKH for rm1380 + rm230 for installation so total rm1610.

Pretty much a decent deal after i got tired of surveying. Hope to see it installed this wednesday.

You got a good deal there. Don't worry. Give a short review later.  biggrin.gif  Any free gifts with your purchase?
I am using the 1.0HP. Very satisfied. As long as the HP is proportionate to your room size you will be ok

Nope no gifts with the purchase. Will give it a few days before i give my verdict

By the way, the installer said i needed a 32A circuit breakers as the current 20A is insuffficient sice my master bedroom has a water heater and the1hp aircond. Hes quoting me rm150 which i think is excessive. But of course the main question is if its necessary?

a circuit breaker is less than RM50..LOL...u can install or change urself also

Yeah i googled up the prices after he quoted me with that price. Doesnt seem to cost even half of what he quoted.

But i am a bit worried if the 20a is insufficient.

Got my panasonic 1.0hp inverter aircond installed today. But its not working

Air blows out but its not cold at all. Air cond shuts down after awhile and timer light blinks. Only way to restart is by turning off main switch. But the problem repeats itself. Called the contractor to come over tomorrow. Hope this is not a product defect

Got 2 thing would be happen.. Wiring fault or gas leakage.

Using the diagnostic function it states error code f91. Googling that up i came up with:

Abnormality / Protection control = Refrigerantion cycle abnormality
Abnormality Judgement = 2 times occurance within 20 minutes
Emergency operation =
Primary location to verify = • No refrigerant (3-way valve is closed)

Before the contractor leaves, it was working ?  hmm.gif

Well it was blowing out air. Noticed it wasnt cold but the contractor said it will take some time for the compressor to work and its a hot day. Turned out it didnt change until night time when i turned it on again.
