Help! my iBook keypad pops out and there's no way to fix it back other than getting a replacement. Apparently the clip to the pin is broken. Went to apple centre in ikarno and was told dat warranty doesnt cover "user defects" (my limited 1 year warranty still valid); only "factory defects".. Was told dat to get a replacing keyboard which will cost RM300!!! 1st Q: Doesnt the warranty cover Hardware deffects? 2nd Q: Is there any other way to fix the broken keypad?? Hope u peeps out there cud help me out here..

how many pieced popped out?
i guess u can still use the keyboard even a few pieces popped out, rite?
so, rather than spending rm300 for an obsolete (pardon me) ibook, i'd rather save it for a macbook pro
get an ext keyboard to solve ur prob
edit: oh yeah, just noticed that i was out of topic. anyway, i was off topic.

anyway, get a second opinion from an Apple Certified Technician... try asking for credentials before accepting anyone's words... not everyone working in Apple Centers are certified technicians, you know

Email to Apple helpdesk and ask for hellp. Maybe the store try to rip u off by selling u the new keyboard. Asking does no harm though. Think Apple will go through with all the email we sent to them. Good luck
