Hi everybody! To celebrate the launch of our strategy game on the iOS App store on November 6th, we decided to run a biology related quiz!

A day has passed which means that a new card has been revealed!
The answer to yesterday’s question was B: The first person to see a cell was Robert Hooke. He used a very primitive microscope, but when he looked at a cork under it, he observed cells for the first time.
Today’s question is: How many blood cells does the human body produce every second?

The answer to yesterday’s question was C: 2.4 million. Your body is constantly replacing old blood cells with new ones at the rate of about 2.4 million per second. By the time you finish reading this sentence 30 million of your cells will have died and been replaced by others.
