It curious to know what a Custom map game in WC3 can drive it to a national game for this country.

DUDE I SECOND DAT..!!! damn funny seing this people scolding ppl.. even more funnier.. a team who talk like damn big because winning... then end up losing late game.. THATS THE BEST!!.. happened to me twice.. even in 5v4 game.. the 5 player team damn sohai... their negligence by letting me(gondar) and troll farm really made them eat their words.. icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

but now.. stop playing dota already... start playing CSS back.. i found that CSS players are much more matured than Dota players that i've played with. Plus CSS.. no stress of RMK or LEAVER... tongue.gif

I love DotA cause I play on LAN.

Personally I enjoy playing LAN games cause I know I'm beating motherf***ers and whooping their asses when they're in the same place as I am.

Counter Strike: Source. Basically, CS with updated graphics using the new Source engine, making everything look uber realistic.

maybe it's just addictive for no reason. but i like the variety of heroes and items and the different styles you can play each hero. also, i like that warm fuzzy feeling when i kill someone laugh.gif

ppl play dota becos they wana feed their ego la..
they feel very "big" when they pawn ppl or when they get hero kills.
the problem is that when they die or if they get into trouble, they always find someone else to blame.

the truth is dota is fun becos u get to interact with 9 players at one time.
try playing with AI and u'll get bored after a few games.

most importantly, it's fun becos of that fella's voice: m-m-m-onster killl

If it's because of the voice then why don't you play Quake or Unreal Tournament? I forgot which one it came from.

rarely have the same feeling when i played dota for the first time. the attraction factor for me when i played the first time is the gameplay and also there are no obscenely huge units or somewhat crazy damages which can go up to 1M when ur doing crits. yeah so its pretty balanced until ppl finds out the easter eggs.

intense strategy and planning?
LMAO, yes probably when the hero is new. after that its just rinse and repeat.

Just learn how to Micro. You can play any Warcraft game after that. Train with melee heroes. It's much much easier.

True true, i also love to play because no other game amuses me anymore and its not as tense as melee games.

DoTA is short (1-1.5 hours) and anytime can play. No need get hooked up due to storyline and all.
I also like it because I'm playing against other real people online and not mere AI in single player games.
Although most of the time same map, but different ppl in team give different experiences. Much to learn from others.

from my experience i think whats fun bout dota isn't the game itself..its more about the diversity of players / hero tongue.gif
now u walk into a cyber cafe, there won't be many games u can find that lets u on a 5 on 5 basis game on an average of 1 hour game. Plus you can find strangers, noobs, pros all mixed up within a game that makes the game confusing or exciting depends on how u view it rclxub.gif Also all battles are diverse enough, a good drink session can be all about dota after the game. We could talk about the mistakes done, the proper purchase, the effective strategy ,the noob players etcs , well could take whole day talking bout it. So regardless of the result of a game, i will have satisfaction after each game.

now based on large scale games i played with previously, example half life , team fotress or battlefield. Due to the gameplay style of these games (perhaps im comparing the wrong genre blush.gif ) , you could see the same player doing the same shit for the whole game on and on to own non stop. The 'sien' factor is very high . One reason dota survived till now is due to its -ar mode . And due to the popularity of dota, u almost cant find any game other game played in cafe nows..lol . I recall in the past few years where we actually go from cafe to cafe finding c&c generals opponent, such a pain in the ass. Since dota is still continually updated till now, it is good investment playing in it, a game which i predict can last a while more, where you can ensure with each game u play, u will improve for the next game.
