People, I'm posting this on behalf of my friend, if you all come across such serial numbers, please make sure you report to the police. This just happened today to my friend.
Guys, my camera backpack was stolen from right before me without me even realizing it. I'm usually very careful with my personal belongings when I’m outside, but today I’m at my most careless self. While sitting inside the Subway restaurant at Fahrenheit 88 mall, chatting with 3 friends, I left my camera backpack on a chair next to me. We have been sitting at Subway since 3.00pm. So indulged into the conversation that at around 4.00pm I check on my backpack left on the seat next to me, then realized that my backpack was gone, stolen right before me. I’m really so careless to have never secure the bag close to me. I felt very sad and heartache to have lost all my camera gears that includes:
1. One unit Canon camera body model: 40D (S/N: 1330708060) 2. One unit battery grip model: BG-E2N (S/N: 492490) attached to the body. 3. One unit Canon EF24-70mm f/2.8 L lens (EF2470LU S/N: 04048345) 4. One unit Canon EFs10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM lens (S/N: 57503823) 5. One unit Canon EF85mm f/1.8 USM lens (S/N: 53807277) 6. One unit Canon EF50mm f/1.8 lens (EF50MMII S/N: 41458601) 7. One unit Canon Speedlite flash (580EXII S/N: 284877) c/w case 8. 2 pcs 8GB Sandisk CF memory card 9. 1 pc 16GB Sandisk CF memory card c/w case 10. 16 pcs rechargeable batteries 11. One unit Lowepro Compu Trekker backpack 12. 1 unit Demb flash diffuser & 4 pcs normal flash head diffuser
I’ve already lodged a police report. Hope that any of you guys planning to buy any second hand camera body & lenses to check carefully that you’re not a “stolen goods” would-be buyer.
