 How to take good animals photos?

I always like to take photo of my pets, but how to get a good shot? below are some of my photos, advise pls...

sometime when i take photo of my gerbils, i can see myself from the tank.. wat can i do to avoid it?
and also some orange golden gerbil don't looks good with flash.. wat can i do?

Dun use flash. Try to find place with better lighting, like sunlight etc. Or maybe u could edit use photoshop hee biggrin.gif

1. Higher ISO
2. Use a fill in flash and bounce the light around to spread it
3. Lower shutter speeds
4. Widen apeture

good camera + good lens + environmental friendliness that allows you to get real close = good pictures.

My pet gets high on coke.

Thanks everyone.. yes my boy is always the best i hv..thats y canot stop taking photo of him.. hope can get a good photo.. but not easy sad.gif

1. Higher ISO
=Will allow more light to be be sense by the ccd..
beware high iso also introduce artifacts

2. Use a fill in flash
=Just set the flash to On/Fill flash..
no matter what lightning condition,the flash will fire..

3. Lower shutter speeds.
=If the animal move then it will introduce ghosting..

It if not correct then forgive me..
Just trying to explain...

wider apeture (lower aperture number) will give you shorter depth of field

=Just set the flash to On/Fill flash..
no matter what lightning condition,the flash will fire..
