G751 over the G750 of course, from my previous survey is that the G750JM (GTX860M) RSP is RM4999 while the newer G751JT (GTX970M) RSP is RM5499, if you can manage with the extra RM500 then the G751JT should be the better deal with newer and better GPU (Lost at the SSD as G750 is 256GB while the G751 is 128GB). Although there're still some problem with the G751 model (Read it from http://rog.asus.com/forum/forumdisplay.php...ming-Notebooks) but it seems like it can be solved with software updates so should not be critical... I'm also monitoring for the G751JT 

Yeah, the G751 battery is not removable. As for either going with G551/G750/G751 would depends on your budget and needs. I go for the 17inch for the dual 2.5" bay (remove the optical and add caddy then i can get 2 SSD and one HDD inside), and since the price between G750JM with G751JT is just RM500 apart which I can manage my budget higher to get better specs then why not...
All boils down to your needs (What sort of feature you need in your laptop, mobility?) and budget (How much you're willing or able to spend), think carefully as this would be the final time you get to buy a laptop without having to pay with GST... 

Oh, one note about the G750 versus G551. The difference is that G551 is slimmer design with single Fan. Not sure if the G750JM will have the MXM card for its' GPU but most users is very happy with the dual fan configuration when putting the laptop under load with heavy games... But that is just my opinion, you better survey around or else later you felt got duped by me... 

Gonna place an order on G751JT today, wish me luck on won't be getting any lemon unit as i heard that Asus service were bad...

I'm in Kedah so request my favorite PC shop to help me order. It's already available in Malaysia but funny didn't hear any official announcement from Asus MY... 
The PC shop owner told me that he will try to get this before Xmas, and I can trade in my Y580 for this... 

just upgraded my g551jm from 4gb to 12gb ram... Much Much better, next upgrade will be SSD...

Ya, still stock HDD. Performance is significant faster after i added a 8gb ram on overall from start up, open folder, launch software and games & shut down.

i got adobe master suite cs6 running on the G551jm, so far each of them works perfectly. maybe my workload hvnt reach very heavy.

Gaming i tried advanced warfare which i found spike lag, so i give up on it. So far playing shadow of mordor high setting very smooth, zero lag & farcry 4 too.

Great then, was held back on the G750JM due to this GTX860M... Hope the G751JT that I will get won't have any issue or else really sad...

New g551 owner here

yea, only upgraded the ram so far.

it will get heat after intense gaming around left side where the air vent area located. but it wont cause uncomfortable to my hand. maybe cuz im using in aircond room most of time.

I juz brought a cooler master laptop stand with 3 movable fans. it does reduce the heat. 

get your beast at which shop? may you share?

Bro why did you not getting the G751?
I thought its more valuable as it packs with GTX970M and a gorgeous design?
Or it's just because of the weight and size?
