hopefully it will be here. g771 looks decent. the difference of this model and g751 is that it comes with m.2 slot with proper mounting.
1. of course. the gpu of g751jy is a 980m.
2. as for the best deal, g750 is likely to be your only option for now. it's unclear that g751jy will be available here.

hahahaha.. thanks for yhe insight bro.. actually i set my budget for g551 only but since i got extra cash coming in i thought of future proofing my purchase and the g751jt was a definite choice, only downside was the non-removable battery.

last night i was doing the math, if i get a g551jm+256ssd+caddy just a few more i can get a g750jm without having the need to use a caddy.

found a deal for g551: (rm3999)
+portability (15" screen + weight is less 3kg)
+screen is ips
+gpu 4gb ddr5
+ram 12gb
-no dual fan
-need to change odd if want hdd+ssd combo

for g750, only found deals online:
+dual fan
+256gb ssd+1tb hhd (no need caddy)
-weight about 4+kg
-tn pannel only
-gpu is gtx860m 2gb only
-about +500 you can get g751jt already

any g551 users that can give insight on this? i really want to get my 1st gaming laptop before end of this month. smile.gif

sorry this i don't have an answer for you hehe

after playing with laptops for some times, imo there is no such things as 'future proof' in laptops (or technologies in general). things that are relatively closer to that term will cost you extras.

particularly for gaming, low and mid-tier gpu power is not strong enough to survive a year if you wanna play demanding game titles. if you intend to use it for gaming, high-end models with juicy gpu's are your options. the shelf life of the high-end gpu performance can last 2 to 3 years max. (using mid settings in the last year to make some new games still playable) by that time new and more powerful gpu's are out, and you repeat the cycle. with the same amount of money, it's much better to game with desktops.

I already owned a desktop at my home. Since now Im currently staying outside (rent) and only back home on weekend ._.
GTX860 (laptop) is low and mid-tier gpu? As I know GTX860 (laptop) equals to GTX750 (desktop), GTX870 (laptop) equals to GTX760 (desktop). haha

Sounds like mid-end gaming laptop (G551/G771?) cant support latest games huh? shakehead.gif
