yes and it got 2 version, most known as chai tow kway / char kway

white - pickled vege+ green onion

2 tsp instant yeast
1 tsp sugar
3 tbsps lukewarm water

3 tbsps plain flour

C
200g sweet potato (steamed without skin)
150ml thick coconut milk
130g brown sugar
1 egg

D
200g plain flour (sifted)
1 tsp double action baking powder

Method:
1.
Place ingredients (A) into a bowl. Process well and add in ingredients (B), mix well.
Leave to proof for 10 minutes.

2.
Place ingredients © into big bowl. Process well, add in ingredients (D) in several batches and stir it until free from lumps.
Add in no. (1), mix and set aside to proof for one hour.

3.
Spoon no. (2) into paper cups. Steam over rapidly boiling water for 20 minutes.

Makes 10 fatt kohs

Yup. Presentation wise, not as nice as gelatine base. But texture is more nicer and got the cooling effect of water chestnut.
