Getting Started

Hi.... I'm trying to setup a simple home studio. Before i go ahead and buy a pair of studio monitors(yamaha or krk rockit), i heard the connection cables are different than usual multimedia pc speakers normally use at home. My question is do studio monitors come with TRS 1.4" cables or other cables for connection with audio interface(like focusrite 2i2 maybe)? I tried searching in google for the cables TRS 1.4" cables but seems like there are hardly any place selling this cables. If the studio monitors don't come with cables, where do you usually go to to get them. I'm in penang btw. Thanks for any help and support .

Cables can get at any audio shop. BTW don't get focusrite 2i2 if you're planning to record DI guitars/instruments. The 2i4 is better for that. Plus there's no MIDI for 2i2 IIRC

No it does not come with cables. I think what you are looking for are 1/4" mono cables (2 units). TRS (tip ring sleeve) are usually for stereo signals.
